Default Someone tried to break in

So I realized later on tonight that someone tried to break into my car last night as I parked over night at the girlfriends. They tried to jam a screwdriver or something on my drivers door at the plastic trim by the window. Didn't get in but left a nice dent and some small chipping on my glass. The plastic trim is screwed up... Pretty pissed. I went over my car with a big light and all my windows had been whiped to either get rid of hand prints or so they could look in.

In the car I had two ray ban glasses cases (with glasses in), my double din, subs, and a laptop I had hid under a towel. Thank god they didn't get in

I'll put pics up when I get home... This happened in oakville at Kerr/speers

    heres the pictures:

    Glad their plan failed.
I usually keep my car's interior clean, as in nothing at all is shown. Except Domo is in the backseat, unless they want him.

similar thing happened to me...theres a way to punch a whole with a screw driver under the handle on GMC SUV and trucks...bastards got in and stole my iPod...walked up and down the street and saw that everyone who had a GM SUV/truck had the same holes punched below their handles...good luck with everything..dont leave valuables in the car.

unfortunately, it looks like it will cost more to fix that body damage than to replace a window

Sorry to hear that man. There is way too many low-lifes in this world. At least back in the day they would cut your hand(s) of for stealing (even children); that would teach them a lesson.

so progress has been made. after talking to the super, a tenant reported people throwing beer bottles from their balcony on the 18th floor... but never called police. my car and another were damaged, the other person doesn't know however and has yet to return. upon close inspection of my car, i can see glass shards from the bottles.... looks so much like a break in attempt.

anyways, waiting for the police to come now

I typically leave children toys in the car just to prevent thieves of thinking it's a modded car. But when some idiot wants something they'll take it regardless. The repair does look pricey, sorry to hear man.

People that live in Toronto Housing do! Once we were working in this one building and some drug dealers on the ground floor threw a bottle up to our floor (room with supplies) and it was full of piss lol. Luckily it didn't hit anyone but that was brutal.

Sucks that the car alarm didn't activate over that much damage. Are most car alarms like that?
