Hello TM3 - buying Mazda3 tomorrow!

Hello from Oregon, called "California's Canada" (by Stephen Colbert) so this must be the place for me (and from what I've seen is first rate). Newbie here obviously, but have been around BBS/forums since dial-up days.

Having scoured the Internets and a few dealers lots for the past couple of weeks, my wife and I have chosen the 2012 Mazda3i 5-door. We just have to pick the color. We are pretty sure we want Sky Blue Mica but have only seen pictures - the car will be coming from 450 miles/725 km away.

Can any of you reassure me that Sky Blue Mica looks as great as the pictures, and not, well, a little cheezy? I don't mind a bold color, but I'm aiming for smart/classy/modern.

Second choice would be silver, which I'm sure looks fine, but not as fun. And fun is one reason we picked Mazda!

I'll post a pic when it gets here, but that may be a week or so.

I had a 626 Turbo hatchback in the 80's-90's. Loved that car.

Great choice, I'm not very familiar with the US trim level naming scheme. But the Sky Blue Mica is a great colour. Much better than that Celestial Blue they came out with for the 2010's.
I've seen it in person and it is a gorgeous colour, you will not be disappointed.

Welcome to TM3 & congrats on the new 3. Personally I love the Sky Blue Mica colour ("color" for our American friends. Don't want to upset Stephen Colbert. I like to think I'm part of the Colbert Nation, but I digress). That color sticks out, in a sea of black, white, silver, grey & red cars your sky blue will be easy to find in a packed parking lot.

I got the same car you are getting and I got it in sky blue, it's a great blue you wont be disappointed. Looks even better with tints.
