Anybody want to run a super sweet GT3071R setup that has seen love on a forged motor? I need me a GTX3071 with a proper hot side and a TiAL Q BOV.

Damnit man, I have to stop hanging around you. My wallet hates me.

You don't have to sell her. Just rent her out a couple times a week. I heard it pays well and the tax man doesn't have to know.

EDIT: Just realized we pooped all over Paul's amazing thread with worthless posts. Argh... Sorry Paul

Awesome cant wait for the results, then you can do a video like the evo but with another Gen2 speed lol. What you going to do next swap in the MS6 drive-train to hook up like that EVO?

Most of my parts will be here tomorrow. I can finally get the head finished.

Rods, ewg, and bov to follow next week. Then i can get the block finished.

Any recommendations on which clutch to use for my install?

in fitting with the theme this week.

    couple of paper plates
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.

Ditto, i like royal plates. Just to make it more fun, I'll stack a few of them with a couple of real plates between them and call it a multidisk.

Finally received some new parts today, Supertech Inconel valves and the CP-E Stage 2 pistons.

This is the Supertech Inconel +1mm Exhaust valve. To fit these in the MZR turbo engine just swap out the valve guides for the NA motor. Easy breezy. I have the valve seals too but I didn't see the point in photographing them.

    On to the pistons.

The CP-E stage 2 pistons are similar to the design of the Gen2 stock pistons but I don't have any of those to compare them too so I took some photos next to a gen1 piston since I figure this is what most people have anyway.

I don't think anyone has shown this pistons next to the stock ones before so feel free to discus.

I really wanted to try the CP-E stage 3 pistons but they are only available with the shortblock stage 3. I cannot justify $6500 USD for a shortblock with K1 rods. I would have loved to get it to have the ERL liners and upped to a 2.4L but the K1 rods turned me right off. Not to mention the Stage 3 pistons looks like little happy faces. Smiling all the way to victory.

Couldn't you request a custom stage3 build? I doubt these engines are sitting there, ready to be sold?

This looks like a crazy build. It'll be interesting to see you and Dave battling it out on the track this summer.

Once you guys have perfected your builds, I'm looking to you and Dave to get started on a revo knuckle swap

I'd like to do a revo-knuckle, but I prefer the GM design with the build in camber adjustment like on the Buick Regal GS. I would settle for the Ford Focus system, I just want to drive it before committing. Really it's just a matter of swapping parts so it's not really a big deal. Maybe when a few of the Focus' end up in the wreckers it should be pretty cheap to do .

EDIT: The stage 3 pistons are proprietary to the ERL liners, not to mention the cost of just the bottom end is about the same price as my whole build so far.

Fonally have some news, the last of my engine parts arrived today. Now all I'm waiting on this the machine shop.

My manifold is another 2 weeks out, the only other parts to get are a clutch and intake manifold. Hopefully CPE releases their intake manifold before summer.

I got my Tial stuff in this week and I took the time today to assemble the wastegate today. The BOV comes ready to go and it's in the garage so I didn't bother taking photos of it.

Tial 2012-02-23 at 11-11-00 by Celestial View, on Flickr

Fully assembled this thing is HUGE.

Tial 2012-02-23 at 11-12-36 by Celestial View, on Flickr

I also cleaned up what was left in the garage today, so Nator North is officially ready to go.

EDIT: As per Vince's recommendation I set the wastegate up for 7psi, it comes with springs from 4.5psi to 21psi between all the combinations.
