Shifter Knob Flood Light

Hey TM3,

I have a burnt out light and need advice on how to replace it. I checked the forums, but was unable to find any posts related to my issue. The blue "flood light" above the ashtray burnt out. I know its not a big deal, but I really liked the blue glow it put out onto my shifter knob. I was wondering, if there any way to replace this one my own? or do I have to go to the dealer and have them replace it for nearly the cost of a new car?

Flood light?
Do you mean the map lights or dome light?

it's one of those "mood lighting" bulbs right under the HVAC controls that lights up the console
it doesn't look like it's a "replaceable" part under where the A/C and recirculate/defroster buttons are... I think it's really an LED soldered on the circuit board... you can take it apart and look!
