Yes they do have to inform everyone. In their section on this fourm says the discounts that's avaible to everyone so yes they do have to inform all of us. Also no one said this is a dating site but your comment about still going back is cause of your personal relationship with your boyfriend. You guys posted your personal life on this fourm not me.

I don't see the staff taking heat at all. Everyone posting has gone out of their way to point out that this does not reflect on John/Andrew/Katie etc.

My only comment to this is "enough". Shit happens. It's a discount. It's not applicable anymore. Get over it. Not sure if you know but it effects me too! But im not crying about it. I'd be more upset if the they closed the dealership. Those techs are fabulous and they have my support. They've done all the work on my car and then some and I couldn't be more happy. Even when I didn't have a mazda, they worked on previous car.
I have had things with them that I wasn't happy about but like anything in life, you move on and look forward.
Do you even go to Budds for service, parts or sales? If not, why speak now?

They are taking the heat. They are losing your business as a fellow member and friend.

I don't know the staff, but hear they are great. That being said, the management has treated the members poorly. This is a close knit club, and if you don't support the club, they wont support you. Some members will continue to use them, sure... they have great service, why not? The people who were very loyal and would go out of their way to support a sponsor may not. It's very obvious that these customers are not important to the dealership. TSC is valued enough to be supported, but not TM3?

Like I said before, I don't use the dealer for any service. I do almost everything myself. However, I know that I won't support their show at this point. I won't support a dealership that sees no value in this club.

ok guys, this is not the place for this conversation. please and thank you. there will be more details regarding the subaru and mazda meet. this is being held for charity and the winning club will have the proceeds go to the foundation of there choice.

if you so choose to come out and join in on the charity event please do so we would be very happy to have everyone come out and even though we may not have the same relationship as we had prior i know i would still like to have the bragging rights over subaru and TSC that TM3 came and out showed them.

i know some of you will and do feel slighted regaring what has happened with us as an affiliated dealership but if you have any concerns or questions please direct them to the proper people through the proper channels, as this is of course about the meet between clubs.

    so please.

Enough? This is the one topic as of late where everyone has a strong personal opinion regarding the topic and affects the club and are voicing that opinion. IMO it's nice to hear the different sides.

Ultimately, I don't think that the lack of discount was the problem here, yet you keep going back to it. The new management came in and didn't even consider the club. Members here are pretty loyal to Affiliate Dealerships and Sponsors so when one just snubs everybody it causes an issue. The fact that there was a lack of respect has left a bad taste in everyones mouth. Everyone has reiterated many times that it's not the individuals who the club have dealt with in the past but the new owner/s. This alone shows that all of this is on the owner/s, not the employees.

Basically, the service department and overall customer service is going to have to be 100% perfect because the perk of a discount is no longer there to help soften any bad blows. If there are any problems at all, members will not think twice to look elsewhere. Also word of mouth and social media can be 10x worse for publicity. For the dealers sake, I hope the service quality can continue being top notch.

Just so that everyone is aware Budds' Subaru does not offer a discount to the TSC members either. They do have Parts promotions from time to time, which I was told I cannot do here.
So to be clear Budds' Subaru Parts Manager supports TSC the same way that John and I do. We are on this forum to help the members not just sell sell sell. If you check posts from other "affliate dealers" its sales only. No one takes into consideration the amount of useful information that John posts. So if we take away a 15% discount and all of a sudden we "do not support the forum" then maybe you should reconsider what "support" means. I have respect for Joe and Jeff for the support they have had in building this forum and providing great service. At the end of the day it should be about the level of service. If a 15% discount really means that much to you then I can understand that as on major services it does mean significant savings. But will you trust another dealer the same you would trust one with great service reviews? I will still be on the forum as will John so thanks to those who support us and hopefully we will see some of you at this great event.

I would definately be interested in being an "affiliate dealer" if we could post Parts and Accessories specials as Budds' Subaru does on TSC. Maybe you guys should browse that forum before jumping to conclusions.

Again, those are the employees supporting the club, and if YOU browse the forum, you will see that people are grateful. As Ryan stated, the owner's of Budd's handled this poorly, plain and simple. If we are not a large enough group for the owner's to see value in the club, thats fine. I'd rather stick to guy's like Joe and Jeff who do a lot for the club AND offer the discount.

One thing to also clarify, is Budds Subaru pays a yearly fee to post said offerings and promotions on TSC. That financial support helps cover board costs, just like a standard sponsor. Budds leadership did not have interest in supporting TM3 either financially or through the discount program.

Just to say I like the QEW guys on this forum. They are so helpful to TM3 members.
But I do kind of find Terry Budd's response on FaceBook to be hypocritical (if he is still sponsoring The Subaru Club and offering them discounts).
    He misquoted Benjamin Franklin:
The bitterness of(sic) poor service (should be quality) remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

If he really believed this then he'd stop sponsoring other clubs completely and just focus on excellent customer service.
