I havent posted mine, not sure who you were asking though.
I did the valence on Tuesday. I tried just going overthe tears and it looked reallllly bad so I took a decent 30-45 minutes peeling it away and quick rub down.
The peel when wet method seems to work really well as long as you do the edges last. Hit the whole valence from the inner working oiut and try to save the edges for last. I tried to keep the edges wet by doing light coats periodically and then building up last but I think I took a bit too long on one spot and it looks a bit rough there. Since I have the 2011 with the deeper ridge, I may hit it up again on hte weekend with an extra coat. Take your time taping it up, try to get the edges alligned nicely and as soon as you're done hitting it with a thick layer, just peel. Advice for those doing it forthe first time, Stand back and do wide strokes, if you stop for more than 5 seconds test the spray on a news paper first, i got a couple "clogged" bursts fromt he can and it globbed up on some parts.
overall it looks great to me, I'll post pics when I clean the car a bit and hit it with a second layer.

Now I remember!
Would the Glossifier work just on its own? Im looking for a glossy clear coat to use as a makeshift, one weekend, "3M BRA" alternative. I need a decently thick layer for the front bumper and hood and prefer it not to show too much, not sure if this stuff will be right for me, otherwise i might just stick to using some tape and Black plasti.
I nominate Reymando as a sponsor on our board.... This guy really knows his stuff!
Thanks buddy!
This is for you especially!
Gallons VS Spray cans
Gallons of plasti dip is a lot different than normal spray can, the mixer is without any type of ethanol alcohol chemical mixed. If you use a spray can it will dry faster since the alcohol in it will evaporate quickly thus it will help the rubberised paint combine when drying?
Real Plasti Dip (Gallons) are not mixed with alcohol which means it will dry a lot slower and it will drip, avoiding this drip is simple.
• Use a fast pace motion when spraying but use light.
• Avoid spraying at one spot.
• Let it dry longer than normal spray can.
3 simple rule to follow when using a spray gun using gallons of dipped.
Don't forget about what dip is all about, it is not just for dipping cars but you will also see it on gloves and tools. It has been around longer than you think.
Rust proofing not an issue, seal your bolts from water not a problem. Use the dip for everything!
Need a condom, spray it on! LOL JK.
Ami this should be stickied, as lots of people are interested in dipping![]()
Just a heads up everyone!
I will not be selling any Plasti Dip no longer and I will need more time for myself custom dipping YOUR CAR! if you need products Peter has taking over the sales at this point in time, If needed please contact him directly on this LINK!
If you have any question on price please PM me
Thanks,

I just dipped my emblems and they came out good for the most part but I did notice that I didnt cover the edges well so you can still see the chrome. After watching the video from dipyourcar i think it would have been a great idea to use electrical tape around the mazda logo to get better coverage around the edge and prevent peeling. I will probably end up re-doing it or try touching it up.
Like rey said, use angles, I didn't use anything around the emblems. About 1 inch away I taped it off with some news paper to prevent over spray. Around the actual emblem i allowed over spray and it peeled off fine without tearing. as for the Mazda text, I had/have problems with inside the lettering and getting that off without it peeling, but its not that noticeable.
MAKING YOUR COLOURS STAND OUT VS MAKING YOUR COLOURS LIGHTER
This is for those who PM’d me recently and wanting to know about how to make the colours stand out more etc.…
When you’re planning on spraying your rims with white, red, blue, and silver and if you want the colours to stand out more you will need a dark base colour which is black. Also if you’re looking to make your colours a lot lighter use your base colour white.
Plasti-dip is somewhat translucent and especially spraying the first layer of dip with any colour. If you want your gold rim to stand out more spray at least 3 coats of black, than spray on your 2 coats of gold and if you’re looking for a lighter pearl gold look, spray on 3 coats of white as your base colour than spray 1 layer of gold, 1 layer of clear which will make a pearl gold effects.
Just remember to make the colours stand out, use black as your base… To make your colours lighter, use white as your base coat.

Hey Rey, what do you recommend for the rims, to keep it from peeling on the very edge of the actual rim itself.
I did mine over the weekend, see the pictures posted in the rides section.
However I can already see the edge of one of the rims is bunching up and starting to peel over... this is about 5 coats mind you
Shoot, Move, Communicate
Like I mentioned before about the weak part of the dip is the edge. Home hardware, Crappy Tire and even details shops will carry a decal tape, just use those to cover the edge, it is the same sticker tape for making stripes on your car.
Painting tires on is not always that good and you will have issues with the edge peeling from water, power wash... You may see people using cards or plastic raping to cover the tires, try using saran wrap around the tires when spraying, this way you can spray into the edge with heavy coating. Don't forget, pull off the saran wrap before the dip dries. When spraying make sure the tires are clean from the oil, this way the end part of the tire that meets the rim will be in contact with the dipped leaving no water entry.
Hope you understand that write up?
