    Default Your day in review

The girl i was seeing told me she "wasn't ready for a relationship" so i decided to go for a drive. I look up good driving roads in ontario, and find out about 'nurburgring hamilton.' Best ****ing road/s ever. A couple tight switchbacks, mostly all tarmac, decently smooth roads. Just an amazing time. Ended up tailing a mazdaspeed miata through the turns since they seemed to know where they were going. Once we were finished I pulled up beside them and talked to them for little while, and they were really cool. I highly suggest it to anybody around the area, and if you're not, its well worth the drive, take it from me.

heres a link to the roads
    http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?msa=0&...b565ea3350da57

then tonight, was just cruising around, and saw two GTR R35's. One grey, and one black. I see them every so often, but two in a matter of 1.5hrs is pretty awesome. Anyway, thought this would be a good thread.

    lets hear about your day

Well, I was leisurely hunting for a parking spot when a golden opportunity presented itself to me in the lane closest to the entrance, about 3 spots from the handicapped/otherwise-more-pc-labelled areas. I went for it...I should have known it was a trap. Boldly moving in, a woman in an "artistic" dress valiantly leaps infront of my car. "WAIT," she proclaims. "I SELL YOU COLOGNE OR PERFUME...15 DOLLAR." I told her I wasn't able to pay her for her fragrances as I only brought grocery money, and she proceeded to use the "come on, you'd be stupid to pass this up" *judgemental glare* routine. I denied her attempts to push her ill-gotten body sprays on me, and I ended up in my spot unscathed. With all that being done a lady offered to give me her misaligned shopping cart as she was in a rush. I took the cart, and strolling off with a smile on my face one only receives when being served at McDonalds, the gypsy ladies husband uses the same jumping-out-into-traffic tactic to stop me and attempt to sell me more cologne.

Went to innisville beach only to be kicked off because apparently dogs aren't allowed on the beach until after 8pm. Even though there was a million small dogs on the beach. We get booted cause of our great dane.

I asked him to show me a sign stating that, and why he didn't stop the person behind me as they were walking a small dog. He responded with its a $300 fine. I didn't bother asking for a sign again.

Who kicked you off the beach??

Also my day consisted of getting home from work at 1pm, sleeping until 9pm, making a small veggie stirfry, then showering and heading back to work at 11pm, where I currently am

Good choice removing your dog, lol, technically he could have given you a ticket for w/e the "dog on a beach" fine is, and one for trespassing (not immediately obeying his orders on "his" property).

Public beach with pay parking. I don't think trespassing laws apply in the same way.
Either way, what bothered me is the only sign related to dogs was that they are not allowed to be closer then 15ft to the water.

Public just means municipally/provincially owned and operated...the law still applies. You drive on public roads, does that mean you'd tow your dog on a skateboard behind your car?

    Valid point.
Although I never refused to leave. Just asked a few questions as to why we were being targeted and where the bylaw was stated.

That beach is a decently nice place to go but pretty lame that you have to pay just to get in.

I'm a dog person too and find it particularly annoying that they "discriminate" against dogs. I can understand that they should stay out of the water in case they decide to do their business in there (I doubt most dogs would as they tend to like grass) but I think that dogs have just as much of a right as we do to enjoy the grassy open areas to run around and play.

They're our companions after all and they should be treated as such, not as a nuisance, regardless of whether you like dogs or not. Babies can be a nuisance to some, with all their crying and screaming but you don't see people asking them to leave lol.

So if dogs should be allowed on the beach, should I be allowed to smoke in the mall? Liking/owning a dog is a personal preference that shouldn't be imposed on other people lol if you want to go to the beach don't bring your dog, or go to a dog friendly beach

Ughhhhh that makes me so mad!!! Little dogs are so much more vicious and unpredictable too.. why do they get away with so much, because they can fit in a purse?? A Home Depot employee in Ottawa had their face chewed off last year by a customer's yappy little rat that was sitting in the cart. He was fluffy and cute so he got away with a small fine. If it was a larger dog, guaranteed that dog would be put down immediately. So unfair!!!!

    Anywayyyy, back on topic...

Yep, nothing like a nice long drive while blaring some great music to take your mind off things! I need to start discovering more roads like these in my area..

Smoking is a health risk to others, dogs are not...

And if your dog is dangerous and has the potential to hurt someone, you obviously should not have him/her running free. However, 98% of dogs are not going to hurt someone. If your dog is aggressive that's a reflection of the person as well, not just the dog.

Just because you have a dog doesn't mean you're imposing it on others, especially if it's a well behaved dog and/or on a leash. You're allowed to smoke outdoors in designated public areas, does that mean you're imposing it on others? No. If you're smoking in an enclosed space such as a mall then you are imposing it on others! Your comparison is flawed.

There are very few if none at all dog friendly beaches in the Barrie area, which is why it can be frustrating at times.

    As for my dog.
2 ft leash and never leaves my side. Ignores people until they come to him.
The signs said to stay away from water with them so I did. And didn't bring him on the sand.

What is imposing is the loud rap music with a mic and wannabe dj blaring the entire time. Which I'm decently sure was against noise bylaws.

If you don't like my dog. Don't go near him. He won't go near you.

Within an hour and a half drive the only dog friendly beach I can find is the beaches and heart lake.
