Edit:
I'm 23 with a "G" License

Ya, group rate from my work. I remember when I was paying $425 a month for a 2002 Ford Windstar with just liability... Now I get a nicer car with a lower rate
I recommend anyone who is in a medium/large company talk to your HR department or whoever does HR stuff and get them to talk to "The Personal".
They are an awesome company with great packages... saved me sooooo much money. I would have never got my car if it wasn't for the fact I could afford the insurance. I though I was going to be paying an arm and a leg for a new performance car but I'm not!

I'm with the personal and I told them my cars modded but no power upgrades. They told me not to do it. The lady even told me no Oversized wheels, when asked to clarify, nothing larger than stock. I'm not allowed to put 17/18" rims D:. Anyways switching to belair in Sept, much cheaper for me even with multiple car discounts, private driveway etc.

Just mud flaps, tint, shifter knob... OEM wheels and tires. Basically visual upgrades. That lady is on crack lol... I love people who think because it's on the paper infront of them it has to be right. I'm glad I talked to a guy that told me an honestly what I can and can't do an expect a legit claim. He told me that modding doens't look good obviously... which sucks but w/e.

Bel-Air Direct - been with them for 5+ years,

Hi guys. Im really shocked how low ur insurance was. I got 2007 mazda 3 GS. Im 20 with only g2 license. So far I've been getting quotes for unreasonably high price. The lowest quote I can find was $490 (TD-only liability). So I just want to ask how u got those prices?. NEED HELP~!. sorry if its out of topic![]()

First, get your G license. It will definitely reduce your rates.
Do you have any accidents or tickets? That will definitely increase your rates, especially being a younger driver. Where you live also has a significant effect on your premiums. $490 for only liability is outrageously high though.
Try Bel-Air Direct. From what I've seen, they seem to have the best prices for younger drivers.
If you want to compare multiple insurance companies at one time try:

You have to shop around a lot, check belair and all those other online quote calculators. They are usually pretty close if you get all your information correct. Unfortunately you are in the same boat I was in a couple years ago... your gonna have a hard time finding a low insurance rate with a G2 so get your G ASAP! If you can speed up the ageing process it would help tooIf you have driver's Ed it helps too because most insurance companies give you a discount for that. Winter tires help too... the list goes on. The major falls in my rate happened with Driver's Ed, Winter tires, private drive way and being older with a clean record. The longer you go with nothing on your record the better you rating is to the insurance companies. Think of it this way... you're most likely rated 2 of 5 stars where as someone who has 4-5 years driving experience is 4 of 5 stars. 5 out of 5 is when your old and have a clean record lol.
My rate 2008 = $425
Present (2012) = $275
Getting your G license is the only thing you and do right now prolly... maybe take driver's Ed if you haven't

I'm paying $268 with full coverage for a 2012 Hatch, through TD (Melonche Monnex - or whatever it is lol). I also have 1 ticket on my record that will be cleared early next year.
17 year old Male, listed as 2nd driver behind my dad
With TD Monache
Paying $200/month
That's $15 more a month than my dad's 2009 BMW 328i. Insurance is just ridiculous.
I have some funky insurance set up. So I pay $900 a year as a secondary driver.
23
G-license
Only had insurance for a year
and 2 speeding tickets (3 years ago, so should be off the record by next renewal)
If those speeding tickets weren't there it would only be $600 a year. Stupid driving 60 in a 40 zone >=[

I'm down around $178/mth for full coverage on my 2012 Sport. 1 ticket from 7 years ago should be leaving soon, therefor cheaper insurance!! Pays to be older I guess![]()

I pay $238 on a 2012 Speed3, I'm 27, married, G, no tickets.
29, G no tickets / accidents I pay $192/month on my 2012 Mazda3 GX with RBC (Also get discount rate working for IBM)
