Toronto & Quebec meet in Ottawa

So what\'s the game plan now? How many people (TO & QC) are coming and what days and times?

The night part is pretty easy to set up as there are lots of places we can grab some drinks etc

For the day, we need to know when everyone is coming so we can set-up a show n shine - meet place, maybe go for a drive, set-up something for lunch etc.

The majority on our end are saying 3am on July 29th will be the leave time, so we should arrive around 8am.

yeah swales...we\'ve totally abanonded the leave on friday, its just not sensible. SO its going to be an early leave on sat morning, to be an early arrival in ottawa on sat...spend sat night, and leave on sunday sometime to come home..

looking at both list of participants for the 2 Quebec meets, the people going are slightly different. Only a few are going to both meets. So i think we are good to go.

Ok guys, we need to decide on a couple of things for the meet. We already know of a couple of things we will be doing such as the show n shine / meet n greet and going out to eat, hopefully on a patio, and then hitting the bars/clubs at night but we need to decide what other activities we want to do. I was thinking we can do something like go-karting or paintball etc but the problem with that is the money issue, I don\'t feel comfortable enough paying for all of it out of my pocket and collecting the money later (never turns out nicely) but collecting money beforehand can also be a real pain.

What do you guys suggest?

hmmm, well i agree it is not fair to have to pay it out of pocket!

do u have a paypal?

it could be set up that people pay u by a certain date and then u hook it up
if they don\'t pay u, then they are out!


but, alternatively we could do something free
like a cruise or have a few hours off to go check out the SCN show going on the same weekend


or we could all go to that, it would be cool rolling up in numbers!!!

I could care less if there is stuff planned for after the meet. I am bringing my girl with me and I dont know what she is going to be up for doing after, like obviously not a strip bar. HAHA!

I just want to sort out more or less where we are going to hold this thing so I can look into accomidations. That take priority over anything else.

We\'ll be in the downtown area (most of us live 10-15min away) so I\'ll get a list of hotels that are really close to downtown.

here is what we really need

1. what is happening in ottawa, where it the show and shine, where where is the closest coin-op car wash
2. where are we having dinner

3. what is the other thing we will do?
is it a cruise, is it go karting, is it drag strip, is it ??

I\'ll get you guys the locations.

What we\'ll be doing is, having the meet and greet in a park, from there we\'ll be going on a cruise (instead of karting etc as it\'s too hard to collect money in advance) and then stopping for a bite to eat. For the guys staying the night, which is all of you guys, after dinner we can hit up the drag strip (no need for any advance bookings etc so the decision can be made that day) and then hitting the clubs and bars.

Hmmm I\'ve got to work in a visit to the washbays now, when do you guys want to hit the washbays, before or after the Meet n Greet?

More then likely before, we will be down there for about 8 and we will either car nap or go wash the cars. Depends on what we are feelin like. We also are going to need to get a place to stay if we dont already have something lined up. Any idea on times for the morning/afternoon events?

I can meet up with you guys and we can go wash the cars, I think the Mtl guys are arriving at 11am but Bruno can confirm that with us. Since you guys are showing up so early, maybe we can meet up for breakfast and then wash the cars before the QC guys get there.

I would also like to know when the QC guys are leaving so we can arrange the evening activities around it.

Ok guys, some more details.

This is the park that we\'ll be meeting in for the show n shine at 11am.

Hogs Back Park

Since you guys are going to be here at 8am, there\'s a great place for breakfast and washbays maybe 10min away.

After the park we\'ll be going on a drive, the route is still to come. For dinner, we\'ll be going to Tuckers MarketPlace downtown in the market since they have a nice size patio and will take reservations on Sat. Dinner will be at 5pm.

KEWL! we got a location!!!!!!

As for Tuckers, I am not feeling it personally. We got one around here and its like $20+ for some mediocre food, not to mention drinks and taxes per person. Isn\'t 5pm a little early? If thats what the majority is for, thats kewl, I might just trail off to something else though personally.
