Hello,
I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with EMM over the past 3.5 years I have owned my Mazda 3 Sedan.

My first problem came when my car was delivered nearly 2 months late. I let that slide because I was able to get the dealership to float me a loaner car.

Within a month the windshield breaks, and the dealership refuses to warranty. being a law student, and having family members who are practicing lawyers, I was able to negotiate a new windshield from them, the average person probably would experience difficulty.

The first time I brought my car in for an oil change, it took them almost 3 hours to complete the service.

Needless to say, three years later, when my lease was due, I decided to invest in my car and buy it out-right.

I wanted to get some information about the leasing company, and the dealership offered zero assistance.

Finally I was able to google and hunt down what I needed, and went into the dealership where I was forced to speak with a specific agent, and wasn't given the option of choosing my sales agent.
I was out in front of a Man who I was only say was named P...
This man was of no help whatsoever...
I left and continued my research on my own, later deciding to buy the car.
Came in a day later and gave the guy a certified bank cheque for $13,000.00
he agreed to have the ownership arranged and plates to be left the same.
Called him up the next day, the guy didn't even remember who I was... and further, wouldn't help... he kept saying that it was in the hands of the sales manager now... Ie he got his 400 bucks commission, or whatever it was, and didn't care...
The only person that didn't have their head up their ass was the sales manager, i think his name was Pradeep or something.
So i wound up having to chase the dealership for my transfer of ownership, which took several days longer than it should. No explanation given.

Today I had to take my car in for service, my power steering column had been recalled due to a defect. I arrive on time and ask for assistance, from the counter. Several staff are standing around behind the counter talking, and none of them want to help me... finally one person rolls their eyes and says fine I will go do it... Needless to say the service from that point was all down hill. I got a call at 12 saying my car was ready, and they would be arranging my shuttle to pick it up... it's now 2:10 and I am told the guy will be around to pick me up at 3:00... Again not impressed.

I used to hate talking about EMM, but now I love it. I have an opportunity to warn people about group that owns the majority of southern ontario mazda dealerships, and steer them away from making an investment from people who offer questionable service.

Best of luck in the future, Caveat Emptor, and let this be your warning about the service.

If that was me and someone did that not only would i go right to the manger and tell them...then i would walk out and never go back!!

I originally had my lease with EMM but switched over to QEW Mazda.

Is hard to find a good service Dealership. So Far, QEW is good solving my rust issue (Ontario Mazda is horrible), so try QEW next time, is worth the drive.

:( i'm sorry to hear about your experience. I have posted in the past about both good an bad experiences I have had with EMM. And I know I sound like a broken record (cause I have stated this a few times) but you should have spoken with the GM, Ravi. If I have any problems he's quick to make sure it's corrected. I know you will probably not be going back from the sounds of it but you should at least call Ravi and let him know about your experience. Lol I think I also know who you are referring to when you said a man named P...

I love these threads and you always say " you should have spoke to Ravi" Why doesn't Ravi have decent employees working for him in the first place? I bought my car from EMM years ago and I wouldn't let those guys even change my oil....and alot of the employees there are quite rude. Somethings never change and apparently EMM is one of them...

I just had my first oil change done at EMM over Xmas.
Asked the Service Manager for Synthetic Oil to be used, twice. It wasn't done.
Asked for the BSM to be turned off, it wasn't done.

This dealership is a train wreck. The Waiting Area is terrible. The Service Reception area is the worst I have ever seen. The Service Manager is pretty much useless. When I went back the next day to have the BSM turned off they told me to come back because the mechanic was off. No other mechanic would do the work. I called the next day and the mechanic was suppose to be in a 7:30 it was 8:00 am he wasn't there yet. The guy on the phone wanted to book me to come in, but had no idea if the mechanic was coming in.

I declined.

I wouldn't go back.

blackspeed3 if you read my post carefully you will realize that is exactly what my point is. I agree having good employees means you should never have to go to the GM in the first place. And I am not trying to convince him to go back, I understand he's had a bad experience with EMM. I just thought he should call Ravi to let him know what's going on because it's those employees that need to be held accountable. How is the place going to get better when the GM does not know about it. I doubt the employees are going to point it out. See the difference is that I have spoken to Ravi on a few occasions about improvements that need to be made, he genuinely seems to want to make the dealership a better place.

Ravi has read these boards time and time again...and nothing ever changes with EMM. Instead of just trying to fix a problem when someone goes directly to him, maybe he should go to the source and make some changes! I've been reading how shitty EMM is since I've been on the boards here 3.5 years and it almost seems like things have just gotten worse over there. I've done business with them on another level too...and pretty much had the same experience. My recommendation? Stay far away!

I've also had very bad multiple experiences at EMM. One thing that really irritated me was the long wait for simple oil changes, it would take almost 2 hrs. They have no consideration for their customers. Im glad I service my car somewhere else.

I forgot to mention that their mechanic didn't tighten my oil cap once after an oil change. It was about to fall off...luckily i opened my hood to check and found it in time. I was shocked, that was the last straw, i told myself never to go back there again.
