91 Mazda 626, silver, auto my first car my speedo didnt for most of the time I had the car then I finally got it fixed and it died :(

Then I bought a 95 Mazda Precidia Red 5sp (4 banger i think it was a 1.6 liter lol) tinted it and had transmission issues but all fixed then traded it in for the MSP.

My 2003.5 MazdaSpeed Protege Titanium silver (best color IMO) (MSP) Huge upgrade for me at the time 2nd car I was proud of owning after my 626 lol.... lots of fun to drive ton of mods then just recently sold it to my bro.

Bought my 05 Mazda 3 GT Red and everything is good so far I hope in the future to get a MazdaSpeed 3

Mazda Power here!!!

Good job! :D

Hopefully you get a MS3 soon!! :)

'79 Monte Carlo (learning car)
'88 Chevy Corsica (beater)
'91 Jeep YJ (summer cruiser)
'86 Suzuki GS600E (crotch rocket project)
'91 Civic Si (Tuned by Gilman's)
'96 Civic (tuned by Top Power, styled by G-Force customs)
'99 Civic EX (grocery getter)
'86 300ZX Turbo (track prepped)
'96 Golf (Audio built by Stereo Dimensions / VR swap before selling)
'97 4Runner (lifted 2")
'92 Camry (beater)
'97 Regal (beater)
'05 Mazda3 (RICED out)
'10 Lancer (grocery getter)

In each vehicle - something was customed. Wether it be stereo, cosmetic, or motor - it was nicer Bone Stock.

The 96 Civic was my favorite.
Not many (if any) of you would remember, know of, or heard of Top Power Racing. But the owner was one of the best motor-builders in the industry and my Civic was his guinea pig.

The VW Golf hit 138.6 db holding 2x under powered 12" prototype MMATS Juggernaut's. Before it got stolen and stripped.

The 300ZX was tuned by Yoshi in prep for track, but had to sell it to afford my wedding. By far the most advanced vehicle of its time!

The T4R and my JEEP were both ballsy! It was so nice to be able to not worry about speed bumps and curbs. And they actually looked better when it was dirty! But gas was killing me LOL

I've only ever owned two cars, both Mazdas, one being my 1996 Mazda MX-6, and my current 2010 Mazda 3 GX.

Gotta say, I loved the power in the Maxima, but the 3 is definitely my favorite now (probably laregly due to it finally being my first manual car as well).

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S
2001 VW Jetta
2000 Ford Ranger XLT

Cutlass was made of iron and ran on viking blood. I loved that car. Jetta was fun to drive but had so many issues. And the Ranger was old. I had visions of stopping at a light and all the panels falling off and the engine exploding.

Car is now still running with almost 500,000km on the odo - original manual tranny and motor!

Had a 09 sti, before and then found out we were expecting. I was like kewl, the sti can handle it one baby seat will fit. Then I found out it was twins.
My jaw dropped and my first though was i am not selling my car! But try as i may i couldn't fit 2 rear facing baby seats. So I ended up selling it and buying a minivan, and a 07 ms3. In the dry i haven't lost any performance with the 3. Infact it has sharper handling than the sti, but i do feel the build quality is a bit better in the subaru. Overall i am pretty happy in the 3.

Nah, same system. It's just all volume; the A3 is targeted towards urban drivers and primarily female drivers. Statistics show that fewer women buy sticks, so it isn't financially feasible for the company to offer that vehicle with a stick on higher end models (Quattro).

I had a Subaru Impreza which was lent to me by a cousin who was to stay in a foreign land for a good 2 years. He needed someone to look after his car and actually maintain it. So what is a couple of hundred to maintain just to get it for a good 2 years. He has returned early of last year which ended my good run with his Impreza. A nice car, really if you ask me.

The Sprint weighed just over 1,600 lbs and had a 3-cylinder 1.0 L turbocharged engine putting out a whopping 70 horses. It was a blast... felt like driving a skateboard.

Thanks, it was nice. I leased it to get over the luxury itch. If it was good on gas I would have kept it.

Holly balls! Lol

Over how many years did you own those? Favorite one(s)?

Yes, I could have bought another house with the money I've spent on cars. That's over a 22 year span. I have a couple of favourites

1) Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon - After having all the other Jeeps this one was really perfect. With the longer wheelbase it rode much smoother and had more room in the back for lugging stuff around. I learned my lesson after modifying my other Jeeps, not to go overboard so it's too much for the street. Just added enough lift to fit 33" tires. I went off-roading all over the place with that Jeep and only was left stranded once when I snapped an axle shaft in Pennsylvania. Thankfully I was able to find a used shaft locally and fixed it on the trail. In the end, I only drove it 5000km a year so it wasn't worth it to just have it sitting in the driveway while making payments. I sold it to a friend and he's still very happy with it. It's the only vehicle I regret selling.

2) 1991 Civic Si -I had this in the beginnings of the the small car tuner scene (I'm old). I had it lowered, snazzy exhaust and I'm pretty sure I was the first guy in Ottawa to have 16" wheels on a Civic (205-40-16 BFG Euro T/A). People were only running 15" wheels at that point because until the Euro T/A came out there weren't any low profile tires to fit. That car lasted me quite a while and took me on many road trips. My longest one was a nice jaunt down to Tijuana with some buddies, we even stopped at OJ's house along the way (he was in Jail at the time) and took it to the Drive in Theater in Compton. I thought we were going to get murdered (this was just after the LA Riots) but they must have assumed we were already crazy to be hanging out in Compton in the middle of the night. Good times!

3) 1983(ish) Datsun/Nissan Stanza - I bought this car for $300 and it's sole purpose was to get me and two buddies to Vancouver. Turned out it would't pass a safety check so we just grabbed some old plates from a friends parents garage, borrowed a plate sticker from their neighbours car and hit the road! We of course had to duck off the road every time we saw a cop but it worked out in the end. We did end up getting pinched once we were in Vancouver and they impounded the car. I never paid the fine and I assume they crushed the car by now.

The splines snapped off and were stuck in the carrier. Had to take off the diff cover, drain the oil, remove the carrier and then hammer everything out. Fun stuff! LOL

Another TJ, I think this is the day after I bought it. Getting it prepped for an axle swap.

Oh I can't edit. I should probably add that before coming to Canada and buying an econo-slush-reliabox, I had the following...

'73 Mini 850 (Yes, that's 848cc and ~34BHP!!), then 1275 MG Metro engine etc etc etc.
'76 Mini somethingorother. Tuned and fiddled with in various ways
'71 Mini, restored and painted Dayglow Orange. 1340cc engine. 13" RFX alloys and Yokos.

Then things took a turn:
Year unknown - Minicross Mini - 1275cc used in rallycross events.
Year Unknown - Mini Se7en - 998cc but 0-60 in ~ 5.5s - because racecar. Used for 'road course' racing.

Various Vauxhall Astra GTE's (boy racer cars) that I used as tow cars for the racing years.

Then moved to Munich and had a lovely Karmann converted Mk1 Golf Convertible. Miss that thing, driving round the alps.

Then moved here and, lol, Corolla - doesn't seem fitting does it? :)

Had a 2000 Ford Focus ZTS for eight years. Then moved to a 2006 Mazda RX-8 Shinka for six years. Now have my 2014 Mazda 3 GT hatch. It's actually sort of a happy medium between my two previous cars: reasonably sporty and fun to drive, but more practical (and fuel efficient) than the RX-8.

Interestingly, all three had a Mazda connection, since I believe the engine on the first-gen Focus was Mazda-designed.

Mazda 3 was my first car, so prior to that it was always family cars.
Nissan quest
Nissan rogue
Nissan murano (2 different years)
Nissan Altima (3.5L - quite the zippy car, given its small and has decently large engine)
And then I would very VERY occasionally get to drive my dad's car:
Jaguar XKR
and the new replacement,
Jaguar F-Type V8 Convertible (talk about a roaring engine)

All that said, I love my 2015 Mazda 3 GS for the fuel economy, performance, and looks!
