Well, just got my renewal papers in the mail. Went from 240 to 280 a month with no accidents or tickets. Damn you, other Ontario drivers! Time to start shopping around again.

I am filling out the application for my new insurance with Belair and on their application there is a part that reads: Lienholder Name & Postal Code. Anyone know what or who this is??
thanks,
Crimson
That would be your financing company, bank or whatever the case maybe.Quote:

I was in the same boat with BelAir Chris.... my driving profile did not change from last year to this year and my insurance went up from 279 a month to 315 a month!
I just passed my G so my insurance went down significantly from 315 to 233 a month so I'm happy about that.
My stats are:
23 year old single female
1 ticket
1 mil liability
1000 deductibles
a G license as of March 19, 2010
I pay about $160 a month and I'm in my mid 20s.
Vehicle: 2010 Mazda3 GT Sedan
Location: Vaughan
Sex : Female (my wife is the principal driver)
Age : 31
Citations: None
Accidents: None
Insurer : Meloche Monnex
Paying : $113.50 per month
I'm blown away at how much some of you are paying because I don't recall paying nearly as much as when I was in my early 20s.
^^^ female (no offence). And probably the location.
GAH.....just got my renewal papers from Belair and I am going up an additional $500 a year/$42.00 a month. Zero accidents or convictions.
Im down to $108 a month.... Sweet love belair direct!
Got an '04 M3 hatch, in the east end of Toronto proper. I'm 26, with one accident and one speeding ticket (no points), and I'm at $175/mo with Belair. They were about $1000/yr cheaper than anyone else that quoted me.
primary driver
22 yrs old
G license
one accident approx 5 yrs ago
$234/month
I'm with Meloche Monnex...not the cheapest insurance out there, but they've been fabulous to deal with over the years (I've been an occasional driver with them for 7 years).
I pay $179/month and my stats are:
23 year old single female
No tickets (yet...although I'm anticipating a speeding ticket in the near future...so pumped about the new car!)
G license since 2007, drivers ed and all that jazz
1 million liability
$500 deductible
First accident forgiveness
I wish I was paying around $200s
I really need to get my G license asap. I wonder how much that would reduce my premium? And if I do get a G license, will it reflect my insurance right away?
Age: 20, Sex: Female, Location: Mississauga
License: G2
Car: 2010 Mazda3 GX
- No accidents/tickets
- Im under my own insurance, Primary Driver
- $1000 Deductible
- 1 Mill. Liability
And I am with Meloche Monnex since I'm school's alumni, plus I have driver's ed.
Everyone else (Statefarm, Belair, AllState, etc.) gave me at least $6000 premium.. a few offerred me $10,000 -_-
you get your G i think it goes down 5-10% because then your a full driver and stuff
Correct me if I'm wrong, but once you get your G license, your insurance can go down as much as 40%.
I know mine went down from being in the 300s to 240/month on my old Jetta. I'm just under $300 a month with my MZ3 now.
im only at $235/month. Primary driver mazda 3 sport gt. 22 male, no accidents, tickets or anything. Also depending on the insurance company you have you can get certain benefits. im with state farm and becuase im in school and mainting a 80 average it comes down a lot too, and due to the fact my whole family is under the sam kind of policy they also bring it down more. All depends on who your with
My advice: If you can qualify for Meloche Monnex, they often blow most other companies out of the water but they're selective as to who qualifies...
$212/month with some speeding tickets!
