I've got a 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback GS-L.. I live in Richmond Hill and i'm currently 23 turning 24 in July. I have zero tickets and 2 not at fault accidents. I am currently insured with Wawanesa for around $360.. I went online to search for quotes and found a cheap quote with my future employer. When we brought this quote to my broker, he said he would look to see if there was another company that would insurer me for cheaper than what i pay now. I just signed to be with Aviva for $235.27/month which starts in April. woohoo!

They are a regulatory agency of the Ministry of Finance that regulates insurance, pension plans, loan and trust companies, credit unions, caisses populaires, mortgage brokering, and co-operative corporations in Ontario. I can really confirm anything. When I called for a quote on the new car I got chatting with the insurance rep who said there are many factors but postal code had a dominate impact on my rates. He said there some some legislation that would be changing to where your driver record would be the dominant factor over postal code. He could have been talking out of his ass, hence why I cant confirm it.Quote:

^ I'm gonna call TD MM again and mention that I'm an alumni (York U, so I should get a discount), there's camera surveillance at my work parking lot and I park in a garage at home. Last time I called for a quote, they never asked me any of those questions so I assumed they didn't offer discounts for it. Their rates ended up being more than double what RBC was quoting me.
I don't know if all schools qualify or just a few. I work for the University of Toronto and my wife is a Queens University graduate. Its worth a call to ask if there are any discounts or lower payments you can attain based on some of that.
I also have very low mileage / year.
