They wouldent have let me drive it all out and have been telling me we can still go faster without the boost cut.
2 instructors noticed the SWAS was holding me back on exit, i had boost up on my AP and we were watching it cut boost when we needed it.
You cannot use all the track properly with swas on a gen2, it is garbage.
Myself and my instructors both FELT and SAW the car cutting boost when we needed it.
Cant deal with that for another 10+ track events this year.

This is at TMP? Why were you in 1st or 2nd where SWAS is fully active? Track recon? or just cruising around?
Otherwise, I've never been in 1st and 2nd at TMP...and SWAS was never issue....but being in 1st and 2nd @ TMP might be why...
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
that switch seems like a very easy install regardless. Curious how things are going to pan out at sigma #1

You running event 1&2 Vince?
Likely not...you should grab a seat in MBNTO's car if you get a chance.

No I haven't had my car at the track yet however I can assure you I drive the car pretty hard. I have yet to find the DSC in anyway interfere with my driving with my summer tires. The computer monitors wheel spin and then will issue a correction based on the swas. I rarely, rarely get wheelspin if the tires are warm so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me.
I however will be making more than a few track appearances this year so I will have more experience to gauge the situation you are having.
Just to curb my curiousity are you running an accessport?
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Hey would you guys be interested in setting up an official NatorTO website or do we have one already?
Also if anyone else ever needs any cheap domains, feel free to PM me.

I may be biased, but I don't think a separate site is needed. Between the discussion here, and on FB, a third site would just be too much.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Yea, no need...whenever people try to split things off it just kills everything. At best I'd say we could use a NATOR subcategory in the mazdaspeed section but even then, the topics aren't usually NATOR as much as they are mazdaspeed related.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
no need to further separate. Not even a need for a separate section in the speed section.
last thing I need is another forum/website to troll....
Nator isn't something physical, it's a state of mind!
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Cool, I thought of that after I posted that it's better to just keep everything within this MS3 section.

I agree with what MBNTO said and was going to bring it up the first time...but I'm not about to go tell everyone they need a tune, so as to avoid perceived conflict of interest by indirectly advertising.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Yeah, I would rather learn how to tune myself too (and am doing as much). It's lousy how these days the people with the know how are in it for making money rather than sharing their knowledge :( I don't really want to pay for a tune, trust that they do everything right and not understand what they changed and why and how it affects my car.
