oh, reason i want a 71 turbine is cause it spools faster 1000rpm sooner, bnr is better your saying?
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
One thing you need to know about big turbos is the danger factor is that your motor can blow without the proper tune. I have spent countless hours with mspeed tuning the car on the streets and also on the dyno. And tuning my car hasnt been cheap too.

The bnr3 has quick spooling power like a gt2876. Yes, the bnr3 is a better alternative.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
i see, what i was planning on doing is getting all the parts, installing them myself ( i can do it lol) and then bringing it to mspeed for a proper dyno and tune.. where is mspeed tuning anyways?

you're missing some stuff from that list.
I'll leave it up to you to figure out what's missing. Start by listing your current mods, then what you plan on adding for this turbo build.

And yes, you do need a lot of help on that list.
What else do you recommend?

I recommend you read the Mod Path and decide for yourself what you'll need, instead of asking the "oh great Interwebs". None of us got to where we got cuz we listened to someone from the Internet...
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
will do, thanks fobio & Mr. wilson

ill keep that in mind for when i have ALL the cash aha! I'm capable of doing most of the mods myself, meth and turbo +tuning ill leave it up to mspeed.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Fobio, to install a stock turbo with all the internals of a gt2871R (from BNR), ACT 2stage clutch, and meth kit. Tune and Dyno how much would i be looking at?
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
lol I've already spent a sufficient amount, if i save enough and still have a good amount of cash on the side. ill b good!

Personally, I'd just get a GTX2871 and call it a day. Nothing wrong with the BNR solution, but having a spare turbo around is good insurance. Understand also that when you buy something from the manufacturer, like ATP, you also get the customer support that they offer to stand behind their products.
Overall, the cost of labour will be what I've quoted you already plus the extra time to assemble the turbo, install a meth kit and installing a clutch. One of the MSpeed guys will respond to you shortly.

We can make it happen...lol...but for us guys who've bought it new, it's best to take advantage of the 0% financing and amortize your path to a full build over the next few years.

always have the right answer! well i already have an extra turbo (thats the one I'm gonna send out) so once i swap the 2871 in, ill have the stock one as a back up! i got it all planned out ;)
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Hey Mikey,
If I were you I would stay with the stock turbo and just go meth injection. I made 340 whp with the meth setup and the shit was stupid fast. My BT setup is fast but not stupid fast.

if i only tune for meth, i won't need half of the mods on there i guess right? and loki, i would have 1 spare (the one i would take out) and i have the 2871 (putting in) i don't know if u knew but i had a bad turbo lol, so id get that rebuilt with the 2871 build...
but i guess if u can make 340whp from meth, then id probably do that first. later on id still like to hit the 400whp mark one day!
ill defiantly think about it.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
well if the meth install and tune can get me 340whp, and save me a lot of money, id rather do that now and wait until i feel like the turbo is no good anymore, then ill build 2871. any idea mspeed how much a meth install and tune is lol? :)
