That's cheap for a 08 with that KM!!
OMG....
Jimmy is probably way too busy to inspect at this time of the season.
My other bet is MSpeed tuning to check out the log or APH.
with DP, I hope he did upgraded the fuel pump.

Yes price seems good, needs tires and is not cert tho. How do I get a hold of these ppl?

That IS a very good price! the things you should ask are things like what SKYMP3 said, did he upgrade the fuel pump or internals and did he get a rear motor mount. If you search mod guides I believe that the engine mount is always within the first step.
Also ask if he did the injector seals.
I have a nicely built speed 3 2008 thats done up safely NOW but I learned the hard way so pleeeaseee save your self the trouble and get some good answers!
I agree, just wondering how you learned the hard way John? I hear all sorts of stories 2nd hand about engine damage from not upgrading the fuel pump. Is is not easy to do a couple of WOT runs and look at the AP log to see if starved of fuel? Hoping I can get a good mechanic to do a good inspection to give me a piece of mind before I buy.
Thanks guys for all responses!
Well the winner (previous owner) had a front mount intercooler and intake and i dont know what he did but I bought it from the dealer and fought mazda to get it stocked back up properly so i can start from scratch. After the second week of owning it it was making a rattling sound, and it stalled while I was going 40km/s due to an intercooler pipe separating lol. Was not fun at all, and before that on my RX-8 it had a pretty bad coolant leak, so i did a few donuts and brought it back to the dealer and all they would give me was a exchange no refund, all thay had that i knew i could sell was a 09 civic si.
So i got that and sold it within 2 weeks and got my beloved speed. Thank god it runs good now!!
he's putting 5w40... maybe he's getting some white smoke out the exhaust... the car is supposed to take 5w30. thats the only reason i could think of why he's using that.. be careful buying speeds around that many km cause thats when the turbo problems occur. just sharing my experience lol!

Stratified tuning currently… Numbers coming soon
oh wow i didn't know that! thanks for the update loki. as for the buyer, why don't you get it inspected by a mazda dealer that accepts modifications or are familiar with them?
Doing WOT and seeing if it is starving for fuel is not a good idea if you plan on keeping the car. Being as upgraded as the car in the kijiji add you will notice it starving for fuel as it will start to stutter anywhere between 3500 and redline. If there was an upgraded rear motor mount in it, more then likely it will be torn up anyways. This is why CP-E made the solid mount
1991 Nissan Pathfinder - trade in, 2005 Mazda 3 GX ty grey - Write off, 2010 Mazda 3 GT E sedan CWP- trade in, 2010 Speed 3 w/tech CWP - Up for sale (soon), 2007 Mazda 3 GS silver- motor swapped in to 2009 MS3 CWP that had blown engine, 2002 BMW 330ci silver- new winter ride, 2005 BMW M3- new toy
i looked into this car
He has not upgraded the HPFP
I did not look much further into it after that, not saying the car is bad, but just not a risk im willing to take
Past:
2003 Protege5
2007 Mazda3 GT
2002 E46 ///M
2010 Mazdaspeed3
2003 Honda S2000
Current:
2005 S2000
Ouch, all that without an HPFP could be trouble, remember! mazdaspeeds are all beautiful cars. I know I wouldnt sell mine unless there was a problem that I didn't wanna deal with. I'd say this car is worth more like 17,000$ if it was 100%. If the deal looks too good to be true, It usually is.
You posted the same question on MSF and got similar advice, opinion shopping? If the buyer has been running the car with a dp, he most likely loaded stage 2 (who could resist), all while running a stock hpfp.
Just sounds like a recipe for some heartache, but you posted the same car here that u did over a week ago on MSF, so maybe no amount of advice will change your mind.

Do yourself a favour and buy new. Unless you are paying straight cash, 0% interest makes it all the more appealing while knowing you have warranty and no one has abused it

STOCK FTW ... well because warranty

Buying new in Canada is way too expensive for me! 30G + is too much for a car IMHO. If it was the states and it was 24G that would be a different story...
if you don't want to spend more then 30G's on a car thats new... Well the selections are getting thin. Cross border sure you can buy a car but it MUST be considered "used" for some reason. Even if it is brand new the selling dealer must classify it as used. That is the last I heard anyways
