that says "The Mazda 6 will also be available with the Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine."
was pretty sure it will only have the 2.5L skyactive..would be a back step if they put an option with the 2.0L. they should look to a sky active v6. that would be awesome! tons of get up and go and better fuel econ.
"The Mazda 6 wagon features the new Skyactiv-D 2.2-liter clean diesel engine. Mazda said the diesel engine will be available in either Standard Power or High Power versions. "
a high power version would be cool.. maybe as a speed 3 / 6 ...
I recall seeing Mazda Canada petition to bring the 6 Wagon over via social media(might have been facebook), and due to a very strong response, I believe they said they did plan to bring it over.

Going to sound silly but the front part of the new mazda 6 reminds me of the newly designed Aston Martin Rapide. Only about 170K price difference tho
Dammit. And I said I wouldn't buy another Mazda![]()

"And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man: true nobility is being superior to your former self" -Ernest Hemingway
All three are gonzo, apparently two blew cylinders and one developed vibration issues... Apparently (according to Mazda) they were hastily prepped for this race, they hadn't expected to run in this one.

"The No. 70 and No. 25 cars retired after losing a cylinder, while the No. 00 car experienced a rear main seal failure. Neither problem had been encountered in dynamometer testing. "
"John Doonan, Director, Mazda Motorsports, Mazda North American Operations: “Racing is a challenge. Launching a new product is a challenge. Launching a new car in America’s premier 24-hour race is a really big challenge. Mazda has taken the lead in using the new GRAND-AM GX class to push the envelope on advanced clean diesel technology. Today will be noted as a learning experience, a data point if you will. The Mazda and SpeedSource engineers had over 400 hours on the dyno, but only a few on the track. Our on-track testing was limited in part due to the timing of our Mazda6 production car launch which prevented the team from getting on track as early as desired. The easy way out would have been a mid-season debut, but Mazda has never taken the easy path. We are a company of passionate car people with a passion for racing. Mazda and SpeedSource will be back in action a month from now at the next GRAND-AM race.”
Don't think this has been posted. Just a nice walk around showing the Mazda 6 from all angles in the daytime.
