Got the car back from paint this morning,

Had a nice day of putting it all together, finding out it still had an engine light for a transmission problem that isn't there, and that the air bag light reprogramming didn't stick.



And took it for it's first car wash, and I refuse to put my winters on without driving it a bit first!

Hi Members,

New here. Just bought a used 08 GS hatch about 2 months ago.
Earlier today I had an OEM GT spoiler installed on my 08 GS at Friendly Auto Body. Thanks to Richard and Lian.
Then I had a duplicate key programmed by somebody in Brampton. That was when problems started (I thought), no horn and no brake lights afterward.
Anybody think the problems were caused by the key programming? Any suggestions for a quick fix, before I go to the shop?
Apology for seeking your assistance already on my 1st post.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just a busted fuse!

Installed JBR rear swaybar yesterday. Had fun taking out rusted frozen bolts. Dremel, gas torch and hammer finally got the job done.

To cut off rusted stripped bolts head when even impact gun and pb blaster failed to break them loose. Then put two nuts on other side and lock them up. Heat the bolt up and extract the bolt from other side.

I see...guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Usually dremels are a smidge wimpy for cutting suspension bolts off.

how long did you let the pb blaster soak? Give it a good 10 minutes at least (overnight days before is even better). Also pick up some sockets like this:


They go on sale every now and then for cheap at canadian tire and can even pull snapped bolts out (ie no head at all). Have had good luck with them.














Oh and put my winters on too. Bloody cold/snow.

Repaired a wire going to a coolant sensor that was giving me an engine light. Also read the codes for my Airbag light, turns out the shop that reprogrammed my module, must have put the wrong chip in, cause my car is calling for a rear sliding door lock actuator to be replaced, and I don't have one of those, let alone a sliding door.

Made defrosted vent gauge pod and installed Prosport oil pressure gauge today. Bought 52mm universal gauge pod for 10$ and after some some cutting, gluing and filing made my own vent gauge pod.


Finished look. Wanted red instead of blue, but got the gauge for cheap, can't compain. Glows white in day and blue in night. Roughly 25psi at warm idle and 60-65 psi when cruising.

These bolt extractors are on sale now. Got myself a set. 70% off.

Washed the car and installed the OEM roof rack with INNO sticker bombed flaring, OEM window visor thing and PIAA wipers.

I did my first oil change on the car, and installed some wire meshing behind the bumper in front of the condenser to stop bigger rocks from going through the grille and ruining the condenser.

Didn't take very long, and very cheap materials, won't stop every thing from going through, just enough to hopefully not ruin my condenser.
