Look at the license plate???? Come on dude you don't have to worry about a dirty car as much especially in the winter. You can clean it everyday and tomorrow it will be dirty especially the license plate for the rear tires kicking dirt and salt up.

Nobody ever uses a tripod for night shots. Cellphone shots look like dirt at night.

first pic was on my handheld camcorder in well.... handheld mode ( couldnt be bothered bringing the tripod out


Second pic was a screen grab from a video that I had to make in order to catch the brake lights. For this the camera was gently placed on the ( very flat) trunk of my dad's car.
