Went to IKEA this past weekend. $600 later, I got this:



Couch (white vinyl) - $300 (Leather is +$100, but they only had black or red)
Chair (white vinyl) - $120
Carpet - $40
+delivery and taxes

Now, after I recover, I need to invest into some paintings for the walls or shelves. And a coffee table. Or something...

Yeah, it's at least on a couple 2x4's that are lagged through the bottom of the cab in existing holes, so it's up off the ground. I'm going to do a self supported top (not supported by the box) for the bench. I didn't want to put casters because the extra 6" or so of height would make the bench top too high.

Yup! Luckily, I am done with my gift shopping! I still gotta get things for my parents, but I got ~$100 set aside for that, which should cover it.

On a side note, coffee tables at IKEA are stupid expensive :/

Tables at IKEA are designed well and are very simple so making your own based off of theirs is always an option.

Yup, it came in 5 pieces. The sofa and 4 legs =D So no, not really... No assembly.

Every try and cut it in half bend it then use some 2x2 to brace where you cut. Its how i got my queen box spring up my stairs.
