2016 Nissan 370z - $30k starting

To bad it was nice 6 sets of rims ago and 4 body colours.. its like the car that went to far and the only way to fix it was to cover it up with a whole new colour. So we all must not allow him to get anything new so he cant have his way with it and screw it up. :p

i like the strategy of a less equipped version, the money saved can be put towards mods.

That's always been my thoughts. If it doesn't make the car go faster then why pay for it?

I think it's been a problem for the Z for a while.

My question is, what has been de-contented (removed) to get the price down? Because if it's nearly the same as last year's model, current owners are going to be PISSED about the depreciation.

It is always good to have the option though. Everyone has different wants on a vehicle and having choices is great for the consumer even if we don't agree with them. Personally, I do agree with you - although things like HIDs and Fogs are things I would pay for out of factory as opposed to aftermarket.

One also has to keep in mind that while the 350Z/370Z has quite the presence in the tuner scene, I've seen just as many be used as a "sports pick-up-chicks-mobile" (like a cheaper Z4 if you will). These guys wouldn't really be into cars and just want to try to use it for status. For them - I'm sure leather, audio and all the frills would be much preferable to barebones!

I prefer more room 370z pretty much 2 person car. There going to be days where you wish you had a bigger car.

Price is comparable to the FRS/BRZ and Genesis, but I like how the aforementioned have 4 seats.

The seats in the FR-S are useless for non doll sized people.

No question I'd prefer the MX5, personally.. if it had a retractable hard top. I'm waiting a year, and if they do make one I'll see if I can resist. Winter would be tricky though.

I've driven quite a few NC MX-5s with the power retractable hardtop (PRHT), and recently a couple of NCs (both 2015s) with the soft top. The PRHT adds a noticeable amount of weight and it's not in the right place. I'll take the ND with a soft top, thanks.

Yeah but MX5's are still wicked fun to drive. Most of my driving is just commuting so I doubt the PRHT weight balance would bother me.
