I give american car makers credit for keeping this market alive (vette, viper, GTO, soon to arrive camero) they may not be supercars but they are affordable sports cars.

As for Lotus, god, what a company. Performance comes first, low weight before power, these guys are gods! Brilliant. But of course even lotus has to survive. Lotus is trying to become a designer/builder for other companies, demonstrating they can build saloons and compact cars.
