And Aristides running the car more then a minute, minute and a half is a waste of fuel when warming up.I have to start the vehicle cold twice daily also! I let her run for the time mentioned then drive off at a slow pace for a couple of clicks, ...this is a far better method which allows all the vehicle mechanics to warm up together and also warms the engine much quicker....just a tip.

I didn't say you made a big deal of it, I'm saying you're making it sound worse than it really is. And lets face it, "only" 337km is shitty. But you made it sound you did that bad on an entire tank. Not on only 3/4s of one. While still shitty, going 337km on 40L is a lot better than going 337km on 50 or 52L.

Thanks for the insult, not needed IMO.

Just gassed up. 42 liters on 330 km. 100% city. That equals to 12.7L/100km. It's an 09 2.3l GT with 4500 km on odometer. Disgustingly bad gas mileage.

Ouch but city driving bites you like that sometimes. Take a look at the info button for your real time gas mileage when you're driving in the city sometimes and you'll see what's going on. Idling and starting and stopping really slams it. I cringe when I get stuck in traffic on the highway because I know it's killing my mileage.

Just filled her up from half tank, 310km driven, 26.025 litres used, works out to 8.39l/100km or 33.6mpg....mostly city Maybe 70/30? C/H.
I'm pretty happy with the numbers ...but I keep farking myself lately and filling up too early where I don't put enough gas in to get Air Miles ...so used to it costing so much more even at half tank LOL.

I'm pretty sure you'll see an improvement since your still at pretty low mileage! ...I did anyways

You might consider running a full synthetic oil, which is what I have and am quite sure it helps alot in the fuel consumption factor, amongst other ways!!

That is pretty much the mileage I am seeing for winter driving now, 8.2-8.7L/100km for the last 3 fill-ups. Quite a drop from from the 6.4-6.6L/100km I was getting in the summer. I did notice a slight increase in consumption when I put the winter tires on at the end of October but once the snow started piling up the fuel gauge really started to drop fast.

My driving is about 90% country roads around Collingwood, up and down Blue Mountain every day. The rest is split between in-town and the occasional highway trip to surrounding centres, Barrie, Wasaga Beach, Owen Sound, etc.

We get 9-10L/100km depending on how cold it is these days and depending on mix of city-hwy driving... Somewhat surprized by bad gas milage on 2.3L engine as my Maxima gets the same consumption figures on a V6 3.0L engine. Go figure...

If you only fill up at quarter tank, and you are getting 520km out of it--- You are getting extremely good gas mileage. I get like 400 out of about 48-49 litres of gas.

Can I ask why exactly you fill up at a quarter only???
