Default What Intake do you run?

Yes yes.. MGM will drill me with links to other threads.

But i want to take a poll of current members, i don't want any historical data.

What Intake are you running. I am doing some research into them again

Please vote, and list your opinions regarding your intake.

no problems. never sucked up water. replaced the filter once (didnt feel like cleaning the stock one)

my mass air flow wires kept breaking tho, but they just got brittle, and isnt directly related to the intake.

Hopefully MGM will post some links for you. Not all intakes are created equally. Some lose more low end, some whistle more than others, etc.

I saw your post within less than 30 seconds of you posting it. I've just been DEEPLY resisting the urge to say anything, and I guess I finally cracked.

So, just to spite you, here is a poll that is nearly identical, just 2 years old. Maybe it can be edited to show what current members have or something. I know you've seen it though, so once again, this was put here to spite you.

Personally, I have the PRM intake on the white hatch. I used to have the F5 on it, but switched to this one a few months ago. I like this one more. It sounds more aggressive, and best of all, it's blue!

lol yes i saw that post, and i saw many other threads in which you provided some crazy links to all the CAI threads lol..

I didnt want to raise a thread from the dead, and i didnt want members who are no longer active in the poll results so i figured this was the best thing to do.

    now please excuse me http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...625#post426625

    back to the poll haha

i voted for the wrong one!

Mine is Injen RD intake, they claim highest HP gain and thats its the best intake out there according to people (google search) and Injen. I certainly feel more power, Im gonna dyno it.. (just curious)
Also no worries for hydrolocking, as the intake doesnt sit at the bottom, like Fujita. It sits under the headlight facing up.
The sound is great, it actually whistles from 3k to 4500rpm and then roars all the way up to 7000rpm, where it actually sounds like a lambo.

Here is what I think is best Injen>Aem>Fujita>K&N, then you also got SRI intakes WeaponR>K&N. WeaponR is actually very impressive and cheap unit. They claim better sound, looks and more power.

    Hope this helps!

Had the Injen, MS, K&N drop-in, and now the Simota SRI. Out of all 4 the Simota sounds the best not sure about HP gains though cause they all sorta feel the same.

curious as to why you're going from PRM to Simota SRI? I am on the verge of going Simota to PRM but this has me thinking otherwise...

I had ordered the Simota before the PRM came around. Since it is CF, it goes with the theme of my car better. I have CF interior trim pieces, and CF front lip.
That, and I have never run any intakes other than the PRM, so I want to get a feel for other intakes.

If you drive through a puddle deep enough for the PRM to inhale water you've got more serious problems to worry about!

Fujita F5, 1yr now, no problems with check engine lights or water...and I live in BC where we get tons of rain. Also, sounds really nice and was a really good price from SSG.
