i don't like the 2010s period.
those rims look like something you'd find on a GX Model.....
tried to wipe the grin off it's face. I think my favourite part is the circa 2004 foglights

The front ends reminds me of a nutcracker... the soldier thing...
The all new...Kiaspeed. Needs a hoodscoop.

2005 Titanium Grey, 5spd, GT Sport Hatch
The photos at the first post blog, the rear looks like a oriental wearing a ball cap, no offense to my Asian friends, go back and have a look
:O That looks like a kit... is that photoshop??? Either way I LIKE it!!!!!!!!!! Looks aggressive... I'd buy it if they made one like that....
Is this pic jokes or did they really make this??? hahahha if it is a joke, I'd believe they would do an exact replica... I wonder if a certain look can be patented?
Step away from the Photoshop program people.
2006 Copper Red Mazda3 GT Sport
Yeah I'm not a fan of the 2010 MS3. Definitely like the 2007-2009 MS3 design better.
Umm... someone on page 2 was mentioning about the STI and it being ugly.
The STI looks hot. The 2010 MS3 is definitely NOT.
Wow this Car doesn't look visually attractive to me in anyway, definition a butterface
...but eveything else is good, right???I'm thinking in this case, not so much.
The interior and the seats in particular are the worst part of the car to me. The seats in my 08.5 Mazda MS3 are pure black sweetness with red stitching and red Mazdaspeed logo on the seatbacks. The seats and interior of the new MS3 look like something from an early 90's Dodge Neon.
as much as I love my MS3, I wouldn't go on about the 2010 MS3...
they're no longer in "limited production" and we'll soon have a flood of these on the board...maybe a whole new generation of enthusiasts...
slagging of the 2010 will just create awkward moments down the road...besides, there's nothing about the 2010 that a new front clip/bumper from say AutoEXE or RE Amiya can't solve...from the outside, ppl will just see this slagging as self-serving ego stroking...

people flogged the new caliber srt4 for being frugly... it hasn't sold near as well as the neon srt4 did. perhaps mazda will learn their lesson the hard way as did dodge.
I don't think the ms3 is near as big of a screw up as the caliber was, i just had hoped for more given how big of an improvement the ms3 was over the protege speed
well...we both know what's on your mind...I'd dare say that the current MS3 and the STi are based off of the same proportions...chk this out...
from the roof hump to the stubby to the spoiler...along with the front end...
I don't know Fobio. It is what it is. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well, chances are, it's a duck...and the new Speed3 is one very fugly duck. If others like it, good for them, but I for one do not and don't have any issue saying as much. I wish I liked it though, I really do...I just think they missed the boat entirely and drowned in the river in the process. The non speed3 2010 Mazda's are acceptable by comparison.
haha...don't get me wrong, I think we all know how we all feel about it, but the point is, soon, these guys are gonna come on here, all proud of their new ride, just like you and I were when we got ours and the first thing they see coming on TM3 is a wall full of disses...I liken it to the treatment some of us MS3 guys received when we first joined TM3...
I'm all for the positive vibe...and sooner of later, there will be more of them than us...
please feel free to express your opinions...that's what the forums are for...
The man has a good point.
Lurkers who just bought a 2010 are gonna read how much the current members hate the new care and they may not feel very welcome. We could be turning away new without even knowing it. Not good for anybody.
Personally, I don't like the new look. But I don't think it's ugly.
It is more "hey, look at me".... I prefer the slightly more subtle look of the 1st gen.
Kinda like what Toyota did with the Matirx... from nice and simple to overly aggresive.
Many people prefer the new aggressive and eye-catching looks.

Personally, I think it would look great in Black Mica.
As for the auto show pictures, personally, I think it's the lighting and the colour they chose that makes this car look like a disaster. Put the car in some natural light, looks a lot better! The STI pictures, which are professionally done, obviously look a hell of a lot better. Place that STI under those same lights in RED, you'll probably get the same results. Minus some of the obvious points, which most of you can't seem to get over.

Meteor Grey Mica
Here it is in Aluminum Metallic Mica.
I can show you pages upon pages of threads about people hating the STI when they first saw the pictures, as always I reserved final judgement for when I saw the STI in person. I don't like it as much as the Evo X but it's not too bad. Certainly not hot though.
As for people stating Mazda made a mistake with the styling and sales will force a redesign, people have been saying that since they first saw the 2010, yet our dealers can't get engough of them. We've had to order additional production to meet demand. When people see my 2010 in person, the positive comments far outweigh the negatives.
As for the 2010 no longer being limited production, the original wasn't really that limited. Over 30,000 were built globally as of December 2008 with over half of those being sold in North America.
I'll admit I'm a bit worried about the Mazdaspeed3's interior myself. I am waiting until I see it in person, which will be in a couple of weeks or so.
Of course all of the above is my opinion, not Mazda's. I'm just trying to fuel the debate.![]()

The Aluminum Metalic Mica in the previous post doesn't look so bad...
Maybe one day it'll grow on me, but for now I still think overall the car is ugly.
