Question Tein S-Techs or Eibach Pro-Kits???

Hey everyone, just looking for some guidance and opinions... I drive a 07 Hatchback with 18" Mazdaspeed 3 rims. I'm lowering my car over the winter and i am stuck between the teins and eibachs. I am looking for a mild drop but still with an aggressive look. The Teins S-Techs give me a 1.5" drop front and rear and the Eibach Pro-Kits are a 1.2" drop. I just want to know if i will have any rubbing issues with the S-Techs with the 18" rims i have.

I will also be getting a Camber kit as well. So let me know what every ones opinions are and any recommendations. Thanks

I love my STechs but seriously they have settled A LOT... which is fine by me but if you're looking for a mild drop I wouldnt do STechs (maybe HTechs)
This is how she sits with Stechs and I have 17x8 (215/45/17). Not a lot of room

    Hmm, well IMO man,

Mild = Eibach Pro Kits closer to the Tein H-techs
Agressive = Eibach Sportlines closer to the Tein S-techs.

Generally thats just how I've found them.

Keep in mind though that the S-techs will probably be MORE than 1.5 for the front but less on the back.

i'm running on H-techs right now, and the back is higher than the front and it should be similar on S-tech as Tein's generally sag a bit.

Edit: MK beat me haha. And..nice ride MK!

Yea i see in your pics, theres not a lot of room and those are 17" and i'm running 18" so i think i would be rubbing. Thanks for the pic though

Here is a pic of my ride on Prokits. Have the same rims so it should give you an idea of what to expect.

Sorry, I have a noob question for the people who has lowered their cars, besides changing the lowering spring what else did you guys do? Did you guys replace OEM shocks?

    Thanks

I'm still on stock shocks car has almost 200,000km/5 years old and the car has been lowered for 4 years
You dont need to change shocks when putting in springs unless you feel they are on their way out then its a good time to do it since everything is out

I reccommend a camber kit as well depending on how your car sits after your get the springs installed.

the drop for hatch is more like 2" front 1.5" rear vs 1.3" all arround for the eibach prokit

You will definitely need to replace your front stabilizer links in the front also. However they are only about $70 for the pair.

Theres still someone at the store at NextMod if you need the springs just give them a call up and its 250 i believe still and then after you do a mail in rebate you get 10% off but have to purchase them before Dec 31 2009... never mind i read more below and peter said the sale price ended Dec 14... but maybe PM him as mike668 said to see if you can get that same price
