I think there is only one blue. On the video it looked semi transparent and a thin layer over a light coloured rim might give you a lighter blue than the cap colour.

After googling a bit, I see that some people are plasti-dipping their rims and then painting over it with krylon fusion.
Makes sense to me, and if it works would be VERY cool

Last I hear, yes. His customer service and work is outstanding! I would pay the $400 to get it done once and get it done right

What is considered a basic colour? Does he have like a binder of colours you can look through to pick one? Or do I have to bring a paint sample?

quy has a booklet as well as other samples. imo, plasti-dip is only for temperary solutions. Don't powder coat unless you want a more permanent result.

In KW, I'm positive you couldn't get your rims powdercoated for $250. I'm doing it to stock rims for some protection from the winter elements.Four cans of PlastiDip and Four cans of Krylon will bring you to about $140 after tax (on the high end).

And it's been said countless times before... the whole point of PlastiDip is that it's reversible.

I went for a car wash this morning and when I got home I noticed I've got some chips on two of the rims. Not sure if it was prior to the car wash or after. Kinda debating if I should touch them up or just wait till spring.
