thats the price posted on their website though, you'd have to see who can bring that in and at what price you can get it for, and if you buy it yourself, you're looking at shipping, duty taxes etc. So $1300 on their website doesn't mean it'll cost you $1300. It could cost you less, but most likely it'll cost you more.

If you go with say UR as some of the guys did for the group buy they were offering, downpipe was around $450 and pick up was local.

Also as far as cp-e goes, we know the fixed costs to bring in the downpipe as well as the catback.

I would order it from a local shop, local pick up, I would pay taxes on top of that. But if I did anything but COBB it would be cp-e or vibrant. I have yet to compare prices for all of them, I will do more homework after tomorrow when my last exam is over.

Shit on your thread? Lol...then let me properly rain in on the parade now.

Doing reserach = reading. Talking about how you want the best, yet then claiming that you can't afford it, in a thread entirely made for your personal satisfaction = mental masturbation. Basically all the technical information about CBE has been discussed many many times. No one can stop you from making a thread and asking questions, but this thread just keeps circling back again and again, that it's really turning into a joke.

I made a single post in this thread, to support Loki in his efforts and as a personal sigh, that despite my honest reply to you over PM, that you still feel you have a need to tell ppl:

    1. you like quality
    2. but I can't pay for it now
    3. some day I will, believe me

lastly, and I really have bit my lip over this, but here you are claiming this and that about money (which I suppose is in hopes that ppl will lactually take you seriously), yet you paid me for my SRI and TIH with a FAKE $50 bill. This isn't even about that, but really, knowing what I know, seeing what I see...I can say this...in comparison to how you may be treated on at MSF, where you may already be banned or flamed to a crisp, ppl on TM3, including myself, is still trying to give you free at advise and with a sense of humour. If you're really remorseful, as you said you are, you know how to make amends...but hey, you can claim that I didn't count the money and it's my fault for trusting you...whatever, it's just $50.

Here...now I have properly relieved myself in your thread. Thank you.

Here...now I have properly relieved myself in your thread. Thank you.
This thread was simply to show people that COBB is releasing another CBE for our cars...and the way you supported loki was with sarcasm and a bull shit remark. I have a great sense of humor and ive put up with alot of shit from loki and fast_dude, but your comment I found offensive and not humorous at all. This wasnt about technical information, Im not educated enough to teach anyone anything. It was just for other COBB fans to see that they have released a new product and if you are interested...here you go. thats all this thread was for. And I stated yes...I am interested, everyone brought up the money issue...and ****, if I need to go broke to buy everything I said I want to prove something then I dont think its me that has an issue...Im interested in products, I ask questions.

I said I like to do things right the first time...meaning "I'll wait until I can do it." I dont know what I have to prove to you, I told you I respected you and what you can do, and maybe its my interpretation of your messages but yes I do feel like you talk down to me.

THAT DAY we met, I said take a look, count the money...and in all honesty despite who everyone else wants to believe I said that because my father taught me it was rude to count money in front of the person that paid you...so I opened that door so that you didnt have to feel obligated to do so.

I didnt know there was a fake bill in there, my dad paid me for doing a job with him and from that cash I brought it directly to you...you didnt bring this up until after the seminar where i already paid you the REAL $20, and like I said...if i got away (at that point) knowing I gave you a fake $50 dont you think I would have given you a fake $20 also?! I told you to look through the cash and tell me if there was a fake $20...no response so Im taking it as no there wasnt...and thats because the fake $50 was a misunderstanding....had you brought it up, minutes after I left our meeting I would have been more than happy to go the bank and do what was right, but you waited 2 months...theres nothing I can do about that now.

If these guys dont want to do business with me...thats fine but I know Fobio is a huge part of this forum and it would be completely ****ing retarded of me to knowingly screw him over and #1 show my face at the seminar and #2 continue to post on this forum.

I dont use MSF because that forum is impossible to navigate.

Noone actually understands how much I appreciate the help I get, when someone PM's me or answers a concern and I say "thank you" it comes from the bottom of my heart in the greatest appreciation...Im a very appreciative kid and Im the last one to purposely screw people over, Ive been there, and I would never do the same to someone else.

    Im Sorry.

    Fywdyl
MBNTO - unless you changed it for some "Bling Blang"
Celestespeed3 - yours is stock no? I know everything else on your car is cp-e

anyway and I'm sure there's a bunch of others as well, so it's more than possible to connect an aftermarket dp to the stock CBE.

Anyway I've got plenty of time to convince you not to spend all that cash on the cobb and buy something else. As you read more and talk to others on this forum, I'm sure you'll eventually convince yourself to go with something more reasonably priced.

edit: Cobb AP and fuel pump internals are not "little things" that's still about $1000 right there.

    edit2: just saw Fobio's post - hahaha
I as well have CP-e Catted DP and stock CBE with 1 resonator cut out. Shit sounds amazing y0. I was so tempted to buy the corksport catback but **** for 500$ I could do so much better and my car already sounds amazing so that's likely gonna be last.

My impression of you from meeting you in person and from this thread is that maybe you have your priorities a little backwards. You dont really have a job, you are in school. The mazdaspeed3 is a huge expense when it comes to gas and insurance for a student, and now you want to mod it as well without any sort of income. It seems to me that you would have been better off either sharing your parents car or getting something more economical.

Not shitting on you, but this thread has run its course and should be locked
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.

Insurance isnt much more than what I would have paid for a GT. and from my company is was pretty much even with that of a civic. like I said...I knew what I wanted, and I bought it...my parents both have cars, but my dad works and my mom has her own stuff to take car of...I used her car last year for school, but was told I needed my own this year.

Theres no need for you all to get strung up on the job issue, its only temporary that I didnt have a job becuase I was working through something. Like I said working with the NHL'er took a lot of my time, and sure I dont have much income now, but come the new year, things will be different...Im very good with my money, and wouldnt be looking into buying the things I want if I didnt think it was do-able for me.

I see yours in the parking lot closest to Steeles usually on Thursdays (8am) Fridays (9am) I dont remember which day specifically lol, I posted once on the sightings thread and you responded there I park at the rec center usually, unless I get a ride with a friend. I love your car, looks great with the black roof.

Anecdote: I remember when I was a broke ass student, I used my OSAP to buy a Mustang. I loved that car dearly, even though I could barely afford gas and insurance. I always wanted to mod the crap out of that car, but only ever got as far as a big stereo in the back and cobra rims. I drove that car until the doors literally were falling off. Then I bought a speed 3 and started doing all the stuff to it that I couldn't do to my Mustang as a student. And then some! but f%ck I loved that car...

Just in case you run into this predicament again, your reasoning doesn't fly in the face of the authorities. The onus is on you to ensure that you're paying with legal tender, and not the vendor. You get charged for using fake legal tender...not for accepting it. Telling the police officer that you didn't know the bill was fake and that it's the vendor's fault for not counting is ridiculous...I see you as a young man with his future ahead of him, and that is why I didn't report it to the police. For you to come around and say that it's my fault for not counting, shows the kind of ill thought out logic that has borne this therad.

Why didn't you count it when your dad gave it to you? If you're so good with money as you claim, isn't it your responsibility to ensure you're payign with legal tender? Do you not have enough respect for your fellow TM3 member to ensure that you're not ripping them off?

Let's not drag on this thread...I have made a new one for you to respond to:
