If the original cop that showed up would have done something, Im sure this wouldn't have exploded.
They gave it to the public to deal with instead.

I love how the article says the OP of the video took the video down because his intention wasnt to stir up shit
bullshit
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.
biased much?“Relying on an edited video, with missing dialogue, does not seem to be a fair tool to assess what happened,” wrote a blogger for the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance. “The big question is, do the unknown mass(es) have the power to decide between right and wrong?”
For a while now I was looking into getting a dash cam but i would get an all out system, Front, back and something to record my speed separately if i ever need to contest a speeding ticket.
I may be paranoid but after seeing stuff like then plus word of mouth. I'd rather protect myself. And as for this guy, I love to see him getting what he deserve, *******s like him are what makes my rates go up with a clean record (one speeding less then 10). But leave his family out of it, they are not him and they didn't do it
found this one today... seems like a decent unit. Clear daytime video and really good night time video as well.

fast_dude;795830 -The speed3 is for us poor people who wanna go FFFAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTT.
Default User - The MZ3 is for us poorer people that just wanna go somewhere reasonably quickly.
To those who ordered the blackvue, please let me know what the duties/charges were when it came over the border!
I will be investing in one of these as well once people post some reviews. I live in Ajax so I will be on the lookout for this dude to stay away from and others like him just trying to make a quick buck off unsuspecting victims. It honestly disgusts me. He works 2 jobs and has 26 infractions... with what he pays for insurance he probably NEEDS the extra money. ****in tool. Stereotypes are sterotypes for a reason, these things don't just APPEAR from thin air. You can't blame people for jumping on the stereotype of this guy, what do they expect? Let's just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else (wishful thinking)
and people wonder why ontario has the highest insurance rates in the country... 1.3 billion annually in insurance fraud...
If anyone is looking for the blackvue, there are a couple GBs on RFD right now.
Plus with the reform to the insurance act insurance companies are now WAY less liable for personal injury. Which is a bulk of that 1.3 bil. And even with that new reform I still watched my insurance increase by almost 100 bucks this year. Clean record and no claims.
Mine hasn't arrived yet, but it has cleared customs. I called FedEx to pre-pay for the extra charges but they said there are no duties nor brokerage fees. Will be sure tomorrow when it arrives.
(So glad I didn't hang around for that RFD group buy. Paid only a little over 300, including the Power Magic Pro box)
Guy at work is going through the exact same thing right now!!
He was going North on the 400 last night, and it was bumper to bumper, the woman in front of him randomly got out of her car and said he hit her and her neck was sore. He did not even bump or hit her!!
These people need to learn, either with public taking it into their own hands or these claims actually being looked into.
Brampton... what a shocker.... I hope they nail them

Several people are in custody after they were swept up in a number of early-morning raids that targeted auto insurance fraud, CP24 has learned.
Toronto police Chief Bill Blair is scheduled to reveal details of the "multi-jurisdictional" investigation, dubbed Project Whiplash, at a 2 p.m. news conference.
Blair will be accompanied by members of Toronto Police Service's financial crimes unit, the Financial System Commission of Ontario and the Insurance Bureau of Canada.
Police haven't disclosed the reason for the raids, but CP24's Cam Woolley has learned the investigation focused on a group of people who allegedly staged collisions and filed fraudulent insurance claims to collect thousands of dollars in insurance payouts.
Auto insurance fraud is believed to be a billion dollar business in Ontario, and the scams result in higher insurance premiums for vehicle owners, according to the insurance industry.
It's believed dozens of men and women were arrested as police executed search warrants at a number of locations, starting at about 6 a.m. It's not known what, if anything, has been seized during the investigation, and police haven't revealed the type of charges the suspects are facing.
One of the pre-dawn raids took place on Morley Crescent in Brampton, where at least one person was removed from a home and taken into custody.
In Scarborough, police arrested two people at an apartment building on Greenbrae Circuit, near Lawrence Avenue East and Bellamy Road, at about 6:45 a.m.
At least one raid occurred in Markham.
Quoting myself here, but the box has arrived. No customs duties and no brokerage fees. It was bought here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/140665865562 It was $307 USD, but I think the recent demand spiked it up a little.
Tested in at home with a jump-start battery, haven't had time to install it yet. So glad I didn't wait for the group-buy.
Sorry but that was ment to be a joke. The fact is i Won't stereotype someone unless they do it themselves, like the 3-4 people a day of a certain geographical location(s) that nearly hit me driving through Markham because they can't drive, then i'll say it about them but not about anyone else.
But in truth we as society have been so scared to talk about race. It needs to be discussed and the bad needs to be brought to light. Compare the Average driving habits of someone in their home country vs the Driving habits of a North American driver, it's dam scary. Too many people come from outside Canada, without knowing how to drive here are given a license and they start driving like if they were in their home country even more so when they can't speak English. THIS is a danger to me and to so many other people.
but let me give you an example of why Race needs to be examined and not seen as Taboo. A Cop studied an area of Toronto With a high population of Vietnamese people, and about 80% of the crimes in this area were done by Vietnamese people. He got fired for this because it was "Racist", no one realized he used Arrest Records and Facts for this, He himself is Vietnamese and did this to try and show how much the community was hurting itself.
besides you are looking at someone with a family that consists, of Canadian, South America, European, Black, East Asian, South Asian and so forth, and any generalized racist comment would hurt my family, Let alone the numerous friends of various races i have made.
Oh and one more thing Stereotypes can exist on both sides, many people of this persons ethnicity have defended him for no reason other then his Skin color. The fact is my run in wit people of Sri lanken /Tamil Decent have not been very positive, I have seen them more then any other race run these scams and fraud, cause accidents and otherwise just cause problems. With that said I work with someone of that same Ethnicity who doesn't exhibit these problems and I respect him very highly let alone friend who dislike people who do that as much as i do

I try to break stereotypes as much as possible. I hate them with a passion but I know it's impossible to avoid them. Rather than get into a lengthy debate about stereotypes, I think the biggest sign of ignorant/stupid/uneducated people (not saying you fall into this category) are people who make pre-conceptions/judgments and skewed opinions based on stereotypes.
With regards to Sri Lanken people, my experience have been extremely positive. I know of a lot of intelligent, compassionate, and hardworking people who hold senior positions where I work. My sister's best friend who is Sri Lanken is working on her PHD in Chemistry. My opinion has not changed because of recent events.
