I admit once I had left my car in N with just the parking brake on by accident. I got out and it didn't move. The pet peeve is that the gf had disengaged the parking brake, rolled it down the driveway nearly taking my door off, then coming to a stop in the middle of the street once she climbed over and hit the brakes. Of course the whole time she had forgot a parking brake existed in the vehicle.. I catch up to her and say WHAT DID YOU DO? I took off the parking brake, I wanted to help. :facepalm THANKS FOR THE HELP...

In all honesty she looked like a pro steering away from all the obstacles. She missed a light post by like an inch.

Oh ... back in those days...lol I guess whenever they weren't ready and made me wait awkwardly if they had roomies or parents (wayyyy back in the day).

The gf respects my car completely, says "hey baby" to it and knocks all the stuff off her shoes and is very careful not to brush anything against it. She treats it as well as I do :)

Window related; I hate when anyone really, decides to go ahead and wipe the window with their hands trying to clear fog or just touching it for whatever reason. Aghhhh drives me mad. Leaves all the stupid streaks and marks and what not when it dries.

So many times I turn on the heat and defrosters only to realize my wife sneakingly keeps turning it off when all the windows are fogged the f%#& up! Matter of fact, any passenger that does something that dangerously affects my driving.

Honestly though my biggest pet peeve when transporting anyone around is them telling me how to drive. Stuff like "brake brake brake" half a milisecond before I was going to brake.

People who give directions too late expecting me to swerve to make a turn are equally as worse.

Sometimes I get a combination of both and its just hell...

^^^i somewhat agree.

Personally on dates. She can do whatever the hell she wants. Most people don't like my music so go ahead and play yours, play with the buttons, change the volume ect. Wanna wipe the window, go ahead. Don't knock off your boots, I have a carpet cleaner. They dont get a chance to slam doors because I open and shut it for them(as much as possible at least)

At the end of the day I dgaf. Although as stated above. I dont like being delayed due to someone else. (If its my date directly thats fine)

To each his own. Personally, I'd rather not have people f up my car and make more work for myself. If your girl does all this crap, you're dating the wrong girls. Classy girls wouldn't do any of these things..

I appreciate it when people bump snow off of their feet when they enter my car, it shows manners. Though it doesn't bug me, since that's what the liners are for. It isn't like they're deliberately shovelling snow into the car. The weather's horrible, so they probably want to be warm and comfy too.

Unless they're doing something super messy and very disrespectful to my car and clearly not caring, then I don't care.

Everyone treats their cars differently, some treat it like something precious to them, some treat it as a tool to get them around and some in between.

She also leaves garbage in teh door card pocket; crushed water bottles, wrappers, receipts, papers, etc... it's annoying. The only "mess" or clutter in my car is teh change in the groove beside my shifter and extra napkins in my door. I pulled out more than a dozen bottles at one time from her car. I told her, if she kept that up, i'd take away her car. Gave her the same shpeel my dad gave, pointing out that if you can't take care of and clean your own car, you don't deserve one. To be fair on that one. I hate when people get in on a hot day and automatically roll down the window. I like my ac and thats what I want on. I have issues breathing in hot temps and the last thing anybody wants is for me to start huffing and puffing and get light headed while driving.

Jab you hit the nail on the head with that one, In the summer I ALWAYS ride with my windows down no matter what and as soon as my girlfriend gets in the car she tells me to put them up. During the winter she likes to keep the heat on full until I am literally sweating, so I turn the heat down and crack open a window and she complains about being freezing cold. She likes my music though, so.. I have that going for me at least. I put a stop to the taking off shoes and putting feet up routine.

Ever since my girlfriend and I were first on the scene at a car accident where the girl in the front had her legs on the dash and then promptly snapped like twigs when they rolled I've never had the problem of feet on dash.
She also claps her feet together before she gets in.
She watches the door when opening it, because curbs.
She asks if she can put music on, and has learned not to change the song before its over and doesn't try to carry on a conversation when music is playing.
Doesn't eat in my car, (water bottles permitted)
Windows stay down unless dressed up and fancy ass hair (when it takes 30 minutes to do the hair I accept that the ac is going on)
Heat goes full blast in the winter until warm, then goes to just above mid to maintain.

Wow... Sucks to be you guys :p

ya my current girlfriend although she gets jealous of how much I love my car sometimes is pretty good.
I have never had her put her feet up on the dash,
She generally only unplugs my ipod and switches what we are listening to if she is sick of what I'm listening to (after she asks) And it's generally ok because I like her music too. Also if my ipod dies.
She loves the car super toasty in the winter, and prefers the windows down rather than A/C.
She never slams my door
and eating well I eat in my car so it is no big deal however she is generally pretty conscientious about crumbs or whatever. And always takes her garbage out of the car when she leaves (unless I have a garbage bag going in my car already)

I don't understand how this whole feet on the dash thing gets so far...

First off, I'd never allow it. I remember one time I was driving to Montreal with a girl I was dating and before we left she asked if she could put her feet on the dash of my RX-7. I told her absolutley not, and if she tried it, I'd pull over and she could walk the rest of the way there (or home, whatever's closer). She took the hint. If anyone ever tried putting feet on my dash, they'd get one warning and if they tested me, they're out of the car.

If I have my music at a decent volume, and someone makes a call before getting into the car then turns the volume down to talk to their friends about the night out they had, in which i was no part of, i wouldnt consider myself a prick for not wanting to listen to them blab on for who knows how long. Meaningful conversation i have no issue in turning my music down out of respect, but if its just so someone can talk to their friends to pass time I dont believe I am at fault here.

IMHO, I think the whole thing comes down to manners and being considerate, a couple of things lacking in todays society...If I let someone in my car I expect that person to show respect as if they were entering my home and/or I treat them with respect as if they were entering my home. For instance; The girl asks to close the window because it'll mess up her hair....fine, respect she's probably put a lot of time into looking nice for you. Or she's feeling cold, turn up the heat or close her window. It's your job to see they are as comfortable as possible....As for the feet on the dash, if her feet are clean and bare, what's the issue? I think its kinda sexy myself, especially if they're wearing a skirt ;-)

To be fair on that one. I hate when people get in on a hot day and automatically roll down the window. I like my ac and thats what I want on. I have issues breathing in hot temps and the last thing anybody wants is for me to start huffing and puffing and get light headed while driving.
A nice night or something I don't have a problem but anything above 25 with high humidity is not cool with me.

ya but the AC doesn't start working right away and it is usually really stuffy in cars...rolling down the windows until the AC starts to work just seems obvious.

My fiancee now is pretty good. Every now and then she'll catch the side sills with her shoes, but if it's dirty/snowy outside, she knocks her feet off. She listens to my music, but I put about a 15% radio of her music on my phone to keep her happy. My only pet peeves regarding her is when she calls shotgun over a guest and promptly falls asleep, or when we pull in somewhere and she unplug her phone and then checks it and takes 30 seconds to get out of the car. I'll already be inside the grocery store or somewhere and she just is getting out. She doesn't have the spare set of keys so I just lock her in now... The alarm arms and goes off when she gets out. She gets annoyed, and is getting better. Lol

Taking directions from people who do not drive.
Trying to get somewhere where the don't even know the street address or general nearest intersection is horrible. They use data and start using google maps before I drive anywhere.
They also do not understand that I cannot pull over some places or turn left from the far right lane.
Better still, Back in highschool, my friends were all stoners and gave me a detailed a route to drive to collingwood based souly left/ right turns at fast food places. It was hilarious because to their credit the route was dead completely accurate.

She expected you to read her mind! :)

Thankfully I have vehicles where it's impossible to put your feet on the dash. I absolutely hate that!! Throughout the spring/summer I would see these SUV's and sedans with peoples feet on the dash. WTF is all that about?!?! I would've pushed the person out the door if they attempted that.

Another is people who drive with flip flops?! And then they wonder why the pedals get stuck sometimes and they end up rear ending someone or going through a red light...

My number #1 pet peeve is when a date attempts to full around with your stereo. You're in my car, you will listen to my music. Majority of the time I will have it low as we converse throughout the drive, but then they decide to crank the volume up to hear what's playing. And as soon as it's not something "top 40" they want to change it on you!
The date is usually ruined by then. I just want to drop her home and never hear from her again. :)

The sexual act of finding a frog, preferable a treefrog due to their slimyness, and putting your foreskin in its mouth multiple times. You then store the frog in you butthole for later use. If you are gentle enough the frog will survive and have babies resembeling the teenage mutant ninja turtles except they will be more froglike. However, they will still fight evil villains and are even better for mouth raping than the original frog.

So many times I turn on the heat and defrosters only to realize my wife sneakingly keeps turning it off when all the windows are fogged the f%#& up! Matter of fact, any passenger that does something that dangerously affects my driving.

When entering an intersection, the guy that checks traffic for you, doesn't keep their head back and blocks your view. F#$% THAT GUY!

LMFAO thats my dad...i hate it when he tries to look if cars are coming...

I used to be the cook. But she's pretty picky about how food tastes (and thus how it is prepared) so now I'm mostly the sous chef & dishwasher.

What was really happening: hair, makeup, shaving her legs, shaving other areas, changing into another outfit, looking in the mirror, going back to the first outfit, hunting for her other shoe, changing purses.

Not for me. Its pretty easy. I only own jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and a couple suits. Work boots and runners. My head is shaved and I rarely full out shave. So it all comes does what isn't work clothes and a sniff test.
