Im planning to get a tune by our very own mspeed guys but it will be a month before i can find time for it. Plus i dont really trust the ots stage 1 maps on the cobb site. Any advise will be great thanks.
Yes it would be fine, but the stock tune sucks...the OTS maps from cobb are plenty safe (if not safer in some ways) so just run the stage 1 map until you go for a tune.

I've got a set of the corksport pads on the way...we'll see if they're any good.

I will wait patiently for your review Loki before I decide what to do.

Who cares how many kms you got on the car. It's a Mazda just drive it.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I've got 36,000km on it after owning it nearly 3 years...so 1000km/month or so?

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I've heard the speed 3 is quite a hard car to drive with its clutch setup. Just wanna hear some feedback about the drive ability on the car from actual owners. Pain to drive smoothly in traffic an such?
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
It's fine, any idiosyncrasies you get used to after a short period.

no issues

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
probably easier than a civic cause you can actually feel the release point.
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
It's a bit heavier than the regular Mazda3, but as someone who drives it through bumper-to-bumper everyday, you'll get used to it.

gen1 speed is a hell of alot stiffer than the gen2

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I don't have any issues moving between my speed, rx8 and 2. My gen1 took zero adjustment time for me

Speed 6 here with ACT 6 puck Clutch. When the car was running i had no issues in bumper to bumper, so Stock should be a breeze!!

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
This is good to know.. I've been thinking about 6-puck kit. Have a normal ACT in my2 and it's fantastic. 6puck for a DD speed3 works ok?

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Just put in the corksport TMM insert...pretty neat little piece and made more of a difference than I expected but can't notice any additional vibes at all. Win win for those who don't want to do a full mount replacement.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Anyone know what happened to 2012speed3? Txt'd him a while back to see what's new with no response and today I noticed he's banned :S?

He also owes $60 for a Prosport order...deferred it to Loki, who ate it for him.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
It sucks when someone gets ripped off on the forum especially from another speed brother.
