i just did one of the quick quotes online, and called the cheapest quote.
im not sure if its registered as a 20th, or just a plain GTI. either way, its insurance for what i paid for it.
my current insurance broker's (at the time) wanted $350.
also, for what it's worth, i was paying $150/month as a secondary driver on my '07 mazda3
my insurance, and loan payments, are about $600/month. and i still have to pay for gas :S
