Martian

Same as loki's '71 movie - but it was an American astronaut, on Mars

But was not intense and did not really impress me.

Worth a watch - just for the "maybe he finally dies" factor.

It was really good. It's creepy and a little slow at first but the ending is crazy. Reminded me a bit of Drive.

Jake Gyllenhaal was really good in it - he could have been cast as the next joker... That's how much he creeped me out.

Scott Pilgrim books > than movie.
The first 20 minutes of the movie was sublime, like a carbon copy of the first book. It was WAY too rushed from there on out. Great movie nonetheless... Except for Ramona. I always imagined her as way cooler in the books, not the frigid boring version from the movie.


Monuments men... It had good moments from good actors....that's about it. I expected more from it.
The plot was disjointed, cinematography wasn't that good and it was largely just forgettable.

Serbian was too ****ed up.

There was no amount of alcohol that could've prepared me for it.

Definitely DO NOT recommend. Maybe the first 30-45 minutes (which is pure porn) is tolerable. After that - the twist is to ****ed

Centipede was child's play in comparison.

I literally had to leave the room for a few of the scenes.

Deadpool. Much better than I was expecting. I couldn't stop laughing at some parts. This was the correct way to make a Deadpool movie as it was almost ruined with a 14A rating. I'm happy it turned out this well because Reynolds fought for the rated R.

Brooklyn (2015) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2381111/?ref_=tt_rec_tti) - The chronicles of being an immigrant through the eyes of an Irish lass. In a way, a variation to the journey of finding one's self as told in Carol(2015). Another character driven film worth watching.

House Of Cards Season 4 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1856010/episodes?ref_=tt_ov_epl) - This season makes up for SE03's lackluster storyline. Highly recommended.

Batman v Superman. Sadly most of those reviews on RT rang true. Movie jumped everywhere, Jesse Eisenberg was irritating as hell, the other cameos looked like they were just thrown in there and so many things made no sense (ie the bullet, flying with the spear, etc). The fight between Superman and Batman was awesome, but too short. Affleck was a pretty good Batman and Gal Gadot was impressive as Wonder Woman. Hopefully WB takes the criticism to heart and makes the appropriate changes to their upcoming DC films.

I watched this the other day too. I love this movie. So funny and a great cast with it.

Went to see London Has Fallen on Friday. Gerard butler does what he does best. Lots of action saving the president from some more terrorists. I never actually saw Olympus has fallen either so then the next movie I watched was such.

I'm not sure which one I liked more. Both were action packed with Gerard Butler hitting head shots like it's going out of style, breaking necks like its a hobby and knife stabs everywhere. Both were pretty awesome though if your up for a terrorists vs one man because the rest of the secret service can't seem to contain them.

Captain America: Civil War (3D IMAX)

Opened April 27 in Asia, but we were finally able to find a showing without the huge lineups. It didn't feel like a Captain America movie until the end, but more like an Avengers 2.5. Adding Spiderman to the mix was good, his banter was funny, but also slipped into being annoying. Giant Man was a nice suprise. Black Panther kicks ass.

It holds a candle to Zombieland. The acting needs some work but it was definitely a good watch. 8.5/10

Hiest - This movie was so/so. Its the main guy from the Losers in a casino robbing movie which falls flat halfway through. 4/10

The Losers - 9/10 - Watch this movie instead of Hiest LOL. Go Marigolds Go!!!

Funny that it took some major arm twisting to get Mrs Wanker to watch this. In spite of her dislike for Winona Ryder ( no idea on the why ) she was hooked within the first 20 minutes.

Star trek Beyond. I liked it better than Into darkness, but not as much as the first reboot by JJ Abrams. Good movie overall.

Batman V Superman. I liked this more than Man of Steel by far and don't understand most of the criticism it received when it came out. It was a good movie. Dark, but DC is usually dark....

Captain America Civil War. This movie is rated higher on most websites (rotton tomatoes) than BvS, but I did not like it as much. It's better than Ultron, but not as good as Winter Soldier IMO. Spiderman was my favourite part by far, but I found the character chemistry starting to get stale.

Seeing as I don't agree with most movie reviews regarding these two movies, I am hopeful for Suicide Squad even though it has harsh reviews - got my tickets for Sunday.

I recently Finished Daredevil season 2, watched all of Jessica Jones and am now 2 episodes into Luke Cage. All worth watching.

Daredevil - 8.5/10 (punisher was great, he really carried it, didn't care for Electra so much)
Jessica Jones 8/10 (different style and pacing, David tenant plays a good villain)
Luke Cage - 9/10 so far. Good music, great fights and interesting story.

The Revenant - 9/10
Bad Neighbours - 6/10
Daddy's home - 5/10

Watched The Girl on the Train and Deepwater Horizon - Wasn't a fan of Girl on the Train. Found it really slow and not interesting. Deepwater however, after about 35-40 mins it got really good. Crazy thinking back and remembering when that happened.

Watched The Girl on the Train and Deepwater Horizon - Wasn't a fan of Girl on the Train. Found it really slow and not interesting. Deepwater however, after about 35-40 mins it got really good. Crazy thinking back and remembering when that happened.

John Wick 2 - more gratuitous violence, surprised me how long it was. Very good.

I love those gangster movies too - and that's why I think it sucked so bad. LOL

Damn I hate when movies jump forward like that. Always best to focus on one timeframe and develop that story, than skip to multiple timelines and do none of them well.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 - 9.5/10
Ghost in the Shell - 8/10 visually stunning in 3D, the cars are awesome as well, no Major complaints being a fan of the original: it's pretty good for a Hollywood adaptation.
The Devil's own 7/10 ignoring Brad Pitts aweful accent
The fugitive -9/10
US Marshals -9/10
Trailer park boys - newest season - amazing 9/10
Trailer park boys Europe - was ok 7/10, had some really funny moments

Well paced actioner which one can envision Tom Hiddleston as being the next Bond. The mini-series clocks in at 6 hrs ( 6*1hr episodes) but be prepared to watch it all in one sitting.

having played most of the games since 2007 - it was a mess.
Some action scenes were cool, but that's about it.
The present day story line in most of the games is poorly implemented as well, so I had no hopes for the movie.

Two seasons in ( out of six) and it's reputation as a suspenseful Cold War spy thriller is well earned.
If you enjoyed The Night Manager or McMafia, this series is worth viewing.
