Wouldn't have done me any good, I had only minutes to save my equipment and stop the water damage from getting worse. What would your company do for me while water is pouring into my basement in the middle of the night during a torrential down pour? How long would it have taken them to get here?

*Due to some accidents that accrued few weeks ago on hwy7 because of street racing, York region police and the property management is not allowing us to have the meet this Thursday. Anyone who comes out will be trespassing and they have the permission to give you tickets on whatever they see necessary.

I think it was bound to happen based on the vibe I got from the place when I went one time ( long time ago, and I was in a neon at the time and wasnt really part of the meet, just dropped by for a few minutes)

Whats suprising is that La Paloma didnt get shut down ( correct me if im wrong ) which happens at the same time as Ertefa but features mostly Italian cars.... that said Ive seen alot of people show up in Corvettes/Mustangs and do burnouts and all....

but back on topic.... Street racing is just plain stupid... you have to be seriously retarded to do it... Main reason this happens imo is because there isnt a single race track that isnt atleast 1 hour from Toronto.... and most of them are costly to use.... the authorites really need to pick up on this.... that said I still think street racing is a stupid thing that only the mentally challenged do.... :|

They'll never learn, they see it in movies and hear about it in the media and think it's cool and awesome. And then they bitch and complain that cops are unfairly targeting anyone with a slightly modded car, or anyone who likes cars. And will never put two and two together. If the street racing stops, cops will pay less attention to modded cars.

U don't think it's the ertefa crew setting up this. I would of heard about I. I spoke other Matt he told me it will be close by to the old spot / he wants to keep it in the middle I don't know where this info is coming from. Been trying to confirm but he has not got back to me yet.

Thats the thing......all of these cars coming in such a short span of time, creating chaos at the entrances into the lots and the liability concerns will have this closed pretty quickly. I can see police in full force and tow trucks waiting eagerly.

I have to problems driving that far for an Ertefa meet once in a while but don't need the hassle from the police. Ertefa needs to find a lot that they are not contending with a high volume of customers trying to enter a mall or plaza. Easier said than done of course.

Not really, this is a GTA / Central Toronto meet. They weren't trying to pander to sauga or brampton, etc.
The only reason it's going to shrink now is because they waited soo damned long before hosting another meet, as well as the fact that it's mid september and getting cold and crappy out. So cars are going back into the garages for the winter, and people aren't going to want to hang around in the cold.

People need to understand there are two sides to every story.
Seriously, when Bayview village was getting too big, the ricers were already there. It didn't just happen over night. Going to a larger venue and warmer weather just allowed them to come out in bigger numbers.
