Spring is upon us and now we will be CHANGING our meet spot to Yonge and hwy7 HOME DEPOT & TIM HORTON parking.
This is so we have more space and we won't get security giving us a hard time.

**ATTENTION: (we dont like to see people start Revving or burnouts, loud systems THIS IS ONLY A CAR SHOW NOT A STREET RACING)

young and hwy 7 ive only been there once for a gen meet with my buddy, i just started this tread make it easier. its right in the plza there best thing is look for all the cars :D

more like individual groups, but i see meshing happening more and more here and there. plus nice to talk shop with others with new and creative ideas.

how did the meet go ? I was in the are around 11:30, and saw three people pulled into the gas station at 7/hightech with police, and one more in the Tim's lot. Was the meet civil or were there issues?

It was really good till all the young stupid kids started to peel out. But all and all it was good

It was very civil I counted maybe only 5 people that did peel outs and the van doing the burn out but one of the organizers just got a pic of the license plate as they left.

I saw those cars pulled over I just never knew why.

Sucks that the go station security kicked us out it was pretty awesome.

all we saw was a guy on a bicycle was cut off by the vw, and they had some sort of altercation, oh and i also so the bike get thrown down the hill.... not sure if anyone else noticed, but this was while we were taking the left turn on hwy 7

This is so we have more space and we won't get security giving us a hard time.

Doubt this will last too...We had the lumpia meet near the area last year and by 11pm, there were 3 cop cruisers waiting for us and a police chopper with spot light. Snotrocket, and the other guys can vouch on that.

**We only had around 100 cars that time....unlike Ertefa (more than 300 cars)

Police are always watching that plaza because of the Dave & Busters. They expect trouble from D&B. Good luck to those attending.

if the goal was to recreate fast and the furious, then the ertefa organizers succeeded lol.

and at the rate the meets are growing, i wouldn't be surprised if 500+ cars showed up. the cops will probably be there this time too (more awareness and details are up on facebook).

Its always been that way. Been cuffed a few dozen time, yet never been charger.

JDMR seems to want to try and get KC meets back. Tho some do want it respectful a lot on that forum dont care. And I have never heard of Millies can you explain please? Im assuming it was legit people betting on street racing and that type?

The owners of (formerly) Millies didnt mind the business.

It was so lucrative - Timmies opened up across the street LOL

But that was back in the mid-late 90's
Tuners are smarter now, and laws are tougher.

I'm sure as long as the ertefa organizers play it smart, things will run smoothly.
But posting meet locations right on the FB wall, rather than eMailing a few club organizers, isnt the smartest idea (IMHO)

I recall one day when YRP was fed up with Woodbine/16th and they came with 9 cruisers as well as some OPP. Closed all exits to the lots and went over every car carefully for illegal modifications and they had a sniffer truck there too.

I think the news paper said 129 tickets were given out that night.

How sweet the scene was before The Fast and The Furious came out.

But I remember something like 120+ people got tagged. And over 200+ tickets were issued (some people got hit with more than 1)

I still went to Millie's for years after - just to chill. almost right upto when they closed up. The owner kept asking to bring the cars back LOL

I miss their $5 Philly steak and fries combo LOL

was making a lane change under a bridge...and there was something on the road, and my tire got lucky....surprisingly my dad didnt notice anything. the lights havnt turned on yet under the bridge yet either so it was dark. the driver in front of my was causing traffic jam too lol so i switched over.

I was in that documentary........it was filmed many years ago 1999 I think.....There is a part where they show a black 98 prelude(mine) and a white 93 Civic hatch my brothers pulled over by 10 cruisers, with the ghettobird overhead shining its light on us.

When they pulled us over we were returning from a day of drag racing at Cayuga and had the track numbers on the windows......we told them that we were returning from the track and they told us they were making the film and could they see the engine and ask us questions so we agreed.....they were acyually pretty cool. At first I thought we were in big trouble....just not sure for what.

They thought they got some street racers when in fact they got guys coming back from responsibile racing......however if you watch that part, they dont have audio of us talking and them joking around with the cops...instead we look like street racers...typical.

At the time of the film street racing was huge in Torinto and Millies was the hot spot to launch races from .....Mike Pallegen the (star racer or king of the streets) is the main focus of the film......he later went on to become a legit drag racer and was the first import car to break the 10 second mark in Canada later becoming the ETD drag car and getting into the 9's and attaining many corprate sponsors.

The other guy in the film Rob Talirico however was always viewed as a real goof.....and after the film became a laughing stock. Nobody really saw him anymore after that.

I'm suprised that more people havn't seens this show before. Its from back in the day when Marco from Magnus, the guys from A-spec and Rob were all together working out of the same shop. Rob had this rivalry with Mike P who at the time had a really fast ride and went on to compete profesionally with a JRP sponsorship. Now when I say back in the day I'm talking before Fast and the Furious, before all those stupid genos started showing up to races and doing stupid shit in their mom's sunfires, even before the races moved north to Woodbridge. Like Nick said it was back in 2000 when the races were still running out of Milley's on Steeles in Scarborough. Its too bad that things have changed so much in the scene since then. All of the publicity from the movies and the stupid youngesters ruineda it for everyone.

From the comments on FB, they say the group is to big now. So I guess we need an even bigger parking lot question mark

Also I believe with all the garbage ppl ate leaving behind well hope it's not too far thou. Not fair for us west Enders buying happens here lol.

so confirmed with the organizers , the grup has grown so in need of a larger lot plus the garbage problem also. but in the lines that ikea dident want such a huge crowd lol. looks like the tuner seen is growing just like the old days. if anyone has any ideas for a larger place please email; mrertefa@gmail.com or facebook them and also helps if it a public or private lot so they can talk to the owners and confirm with them. Like i said just watch facebook for updates.
and ill try to update this page more often unless someone beats me to it :P
